Washington missed a chance at a four game sweep of the Mets as they fell 5-1 in the finale on the road Sunday afternoon. Miami dropped the rubber game of their weekend road set with the Braves, losing in walk-off fashion for the second straight day, 5-4, Sunday. It’s the opener of an interleague set down in the Sunshine State. The Cincinnati Reds are on the road as they play the first of three against the Tampa Bay Rays Monday night. Cincinnati lost their ninth straight game as they were swept by the Dodgers with an 8-7 home loss in the series finale Sunday afternoon. Tampa Bay ended up with a split of their four game road set with the Tigers, winning the finale 9-1 Sunday afternoon.
