2023 Conference Tournament Winners

2023 Conference Tournament Winners

With conference tournament play starting this week and the big boys starting next week, let’s take a look at some of the best values out there for the mid-majors.

(odds from Draft Kings)

Sun Belt Conference Tournament Winner

James Madison +380

In their first year in the conference, JMU is 12-6 and is 9-6 on the road. They’ve won four of their last five games.

Horizon League Tournament Winner

Northern Kentucky +400

The Norse are 14-6 in the league and they’ve won four of their last five games. They’ve also played seven of their last eight games on the road, so that will toughen them up when they get to Indianapolis.

Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Winner

Morehead State +140

This is a one-team race of a conference down to eight members. The Eagles have won five straight and 11 of their last 12 games. They have balanced scoring so they don’t just rely on one player.

Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Winner

Belmont +800

Some programs just know how to win the big one, no matter what league they are in. The bruins are 14-6 and are playing well down the stretch.

West Coast Conference Tournament Winner

Saint Mary’s +105

You can pick Gonzaga every season, but the Gaels have the same conference record and they also have a victory over the Zags.

Southern Conference Tournament Winner

Samford +400

Furman is the favorite, but Samford has the same conference record at 15-3. They had won seven straight before losing to Furman at home. They lost to Furman on the road in overtime. It’s never easy beating a good team three times in one season.
