Gridiron Great Super Bowl Matchup-Key Props

All the shouting and Taylor Swift promos are over, in truth, those may never end. It is time to finally crown a #1 team in a Gridiron Greats. Here is a brief rundown of the game itself and a look at some longshot props that may be worth investing in.

Gridiron Great Super Bowl Matchup

San Francisco (-2) vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Super Bowl Odds *are subject to change by game time.

The odds haven’t moved yet in this matchup. The 49ers remain a slight two-point favorite heading into this rematch of Super Bowl LIV. The Chiefs are not as explosive as the team that won by 11 three years ago while the Niners have a new quarterback and a more dynamic running back in this matchup.

The Niners finished the season 7-3 against playoff teams, including this year’s playoffs. That number improves when you remove the game against the Rams to close the season in which the majority of the Niners’ starters sat. The Chiefs finished the season 4-4 against playoff teams, just 1-4 during the regular season.

Andy Reid is now 2-2 in Super Bowls as a head coach while Kyle Shanahan lost his only appearance in the Super Bowl against these same Chiefs. Shanahan is widely remembered for engineering the Falcons’ offense in their infamous 34-28 loss to New England in Super Bowl LI after leading the game 28-3.

Super Bowl Long Shot Bets from Way Downtown

Any Player to Score 4 Touchdowns (+1800): I would dismiss this one typically but keep in mind that Niners RB Christian McCaffrey has five touchdowns in the team’s first two playoff games. If any one player is capable of getting four realistic opportunities to score a touchdown, this is the guy.

Super Bowl LIV Repeat: N. Bosa 1+ Sacks and F. Warner 7+ tackles (+450): This is a great number for an outcome that is certainly within reach. Keep in mind that Mahomes has played very close to the vest in the playoffs since throwing a pick that Mahomes considers unforgivable in the Chiefs AFC Title game loss to the Bengals, nine playoff games ago. He hasn’t thrown one since in the postseason and will certainly take a sack instead of throwing a ball up for grabs.

Warner will be shadowing Travis Kelce early and often on Sunday and Kelce is certainly going to get at least ten targets in the game. Also, expect Warner to introduce himself to Chiefs RB Pacheco in the middle of the field on several occasions.

C. McCaffrey SF over 150 yds rushing/receiving (+160): If you like the Niners to win this game, expecting McCaffrey to get over 160 yards of total offense is well within his reach. This line is also one that is reasonable and will bring in a good return.

49ers to win and rush for over 200 yards (+600): If the Niners win this game, they’ll need to ground and pound it at the Chiefs. McCaffrey will get his and don’t be surprised if Deebo Samuel has a good day on the ground. The price is tempting at this number.
