Gridiron Great Top 11 (Week 7)

#11. Seattle Seahawks 3-2 (+2200/+4000) - The Seahawks had trouble protecting QB Smith from the Bengals defensive line but they are not alone in that. The Seahawks continued improvement in the secondary makes this team a viable threat. Last Week’s Rank: 9th

#10. Jacksonville Jaguars 4-2 (+1400/+2400) - Jacksonville made it three straight wins with a victory over Indy on Sunday. QB Lawrence came out of the game banged up, however, and a short week is probably the last thing they wanted this week. Last Week’s Rank: Unranked

#9. Cincinnati Bengals 3-3 (+1500/+3000) - The Bengals have to be encouraged by QB Burrow’s mobility over the last two weeks. Their offensive line is improving and their defensive line has become a dominant unit. Last Week’s Rank: Unranked

#8. Dallas Cowboys 4-2 (+600/+1100) - The Cowboys’ defense stepped up on Monday night against the Chargers. Prescott and the offense remain a work in progress. Last Week’s Rank: 5th

#7. Baltimore Ravens 4-2 (+1200/+1800) - Baltimore’s red zone troubles kept things uncomfortably close against the Titans in London. Jackson still does not look completely comfortable with his new receiving group. Last Week’s Rank: 7th

#6. Buffalo Bills 4-2 (+450/+1000) - The Bills survived a tough matchup on Sunday night with the Giants. Buffalo’s biggest concern remains the number of injuries suffered by what was one of the NFL’s biggest defenses. Last Week’s Rank: 3rd

#5. Detroit Lions 5-1 (+550/+1300) - The Lions got it done on the road on Sunday against a game Bucs team. The emergence of the Lions’ defense makes this team a playoff threat. Last Week’s Rank: 7th

#4. Miami Dolphins 5-1 (+380/+900) - After a slow start, the Dolphins offense got into gear and rolled over the Panthers on Sunday. Next up is the physical Eagles’ defense. Last Week’s Rank: 6th

#3. Philadelphia Eagles 5-1 (+310/+800) - The Eagles’ offense was slowed by the speedy Jets defense on Sunday. They now welcome the speedy Dolphins’ offense on Sunday. Last Week’s Rank: 2nd

#2. SF 49ers 5-1 (+155/+400) - The Niners’ team winning streak in the regular season along with QB Brock Purdy’s personal win streaks came to an end on Sunday in Cleveland. More concerning is the injury to Christian McCaffrey. Last Week’s Rank: 1st

#1. Kansas City Chiefs 5-1 (+240/+500) - The Champs are back on top after the Niners and Eagles went down this week. Buffalo’s defense is banged up, the Bengals are still trying to find themselves and the Dolphins are untested. Can anyone slow down the champs in the AFC? Last Week’s Rank: 4th

Upset Alert for Week 3: We had another perfect 2-0 week picking upsets in week six and have now won five out of our last six upset specials.

#1. LA Chargers at Kansas City (-5.5): The Chiefs are back atop our Gridiron Top 11 rankings but quickly jump into an upset special matchup. The Chargers have Ekeler in the lineup for a second straight week and he should be more of a focal point of the offense. The Chargers and Herbert have traditionally played well in Arrowhead and this feels like a field goal game at best to me.

#2. SF (-6.5) at Minnesota: For the second straight week, the Niners make our Upset Alert list. The Niners come into this matchup with the Vikings banged up with OT Williams, WR Samuel, and RB McCaffrey all nursing injuries. The Vikings played their best game of the season minus Jefferson this past week against the Bears. This one should be a one-possession game.
