NFL to release schedule on May 7

The NFL loves to stay ahead of all the other professional leagues when it comes to attention. The NFL will release their 2020 schedule on the NFL Network, the NFL app and NFL.com on Thursday, May 7 at 8pmET according to James Palmer of NFL Network. This is expected to be a three-hour event according to Ian Rappaport of NFL media.

Every opponent of each team has been known since last December. On Thursday, we'll find out when those games are going to take place.

There was also another big news item as the NFL training camps are expected to open on time in July according to Tony Pauline of Pro Football Network. That is still subject to change due to the circumstances of the coronavirus.

What is not going to change is that teams will not be playing overseas in the immediate future, so the NFL announced the cancellation of the NFL International Series. There were four games slated to be played in London and one in Mexico City.
