AGO Preview
HLTV World Ranking: 62nd
The Polish team of AGO enters as underdogs despite moderate success in the more recent times with a 45.7% win rate their matches the last three months. They are a team that has a ton of potential, but they don't seem to show up in every game which has been a huge issue for the team. AGO is a very strong team on the maps Vertigo and Dust2 with a combined record of 15-8 on these maps the last three months, but Train is the only other map that they a win rate of at least 50% on however.
A lot of AGO's success depends on the play of mhL. He's led the team by far over the past three months statistically with an average of 0.76 kills and only 0.64 deaths per round and will be heavily relied on once again. GruBy has been their "secondary" player so to speak statistically with 0.69 kills a round while dying 0.67 times per round during this same three month period. Map selection will play a big part in the chances of AGO seeing victory. They will need the right map to be played, and they will also need mhL to have a huge game to carry them to a win.
Movistar Riders Preview
HLTV World Ranking: 31st
The Spanish squad of Movistar Riders has been much more successful in the past, but they are no pushovers as their HLTV world ranking would indicate. They have only won 46.5% of their matches over the last three months, and that's very disappointing to the standards of the team. Movistar Riders have been solid on the map Nuke with a 62.5% win rate, but things are much more inconsistent outside this map for them. They have a 55.6% win rate on Inferno and no other maps with a win rate higher than 50%.
Most of Movistar Riders's wins have come behind the will of alex and loWel. These two players have been the closest thing to consistent for the team over the last three months for a team that has been shaky to say the least. This duo has held an average of 1.36 kills a round but they haven't been outstanding in avoiding deaths with an average of 1.28 deaths per round during this same period. This is a very winable contest for Movistar Riders who needs a dominant victory to get back on track, but they're going to have to be careful however as AGO is a sneaky team.
Pick: Movistar Riders ML (-120 @ Bovada)
I'm riding with the Riders as I look for them to mount some momentum with a nice win. Neither of these teams have been overly successful lately, but Movistar Riders has more pedigree on their roster and I expect this experience to be the difference-maker. AGO's roster is slightly more top-heavy with mhL carrying the bulk of the load. Movistar Riders doesn't have any player that has been completely dominant in the last three months, but they do play well as a team and I look for them to handle business in this contest.
