College Basketball Transfer Portal: (4/2/20)
The transfer portal in college basketball has slowed down some, but there are now 620 transfers as of 5:15pmET on Thursday, April 2. There will be news for the next few weeks about players leaving and those who are selecting programs. We do know that grad transfer will be eligible right away, but we don't know if some players who have not graduated, can either get a waiver to play right away or if the NCAA will just all transfers to play right away.

We'll take a look at the key players that entered the portal on Thursday, April 2.
Here are the key players who have left their program according to media reports, Verbal Commits.com, Rotowire.com, Twitter and other social media. Stay tuned as we will update this list every day and eventually compile the entire list of key players with their stats. Key players are listed in alphabetical order.
April 2 (before 6pmET)
G Cam Allen (6-0, 180). Former school: Cal State Bakersfield (7.9ppg, 39.7% 3pt). New school: Towson
Comments: Scoring combo guard who also played at Loyola-Marymount. Should help Tigers in the CAA, especially from the three-point line.
C Mark Gasperini (6-10, 245). Former school: American (8.9ppg, 5.1rpg). New school: UMass.
Comments: Gasperini is a decent big man who doesn't take threes and can help off the bench at a better program and conference. He should be eligible right away.
F Omar Habwe (6-6, 225). Former school: Mt. St. Mary's (6.3ppg, 39.7% FG, 34.1% 3pt). New school: Stony Brook.
Comments: Habwe will have one year left. Had a much better sophomore season where he played 10 more minutes and averaged 9.4ppg and 4.9rpg.
G Josh Hall (6-7, 2130). Former school: Nevada/Missouri State (5.2ppg, 4.1rpg). New school: Cal State-Fullerton.
Comments: Another well-travelled player, who has been inconsistent. He's likely better suited to a low-major program, but he'll likely just be a role player at Fullerton.
G Cam Mack (6-2, 175). Former school: Nebraska (12ppg, 4.5rpg, 6.4apg). New school: ?
Comments: Mack was considering turning pro after just one season. But as a 38.6 shooter from the field and 33.9% from long range, he could probably use another year. He'll have to sit out one season, but he'll have plenty of suitors.
G Ryan Murphy (6-2, 184). Former school: Pittsburgh (7.6ppg, 33.1% 3pt). New school: Tulane.
Comments: Murphy struggled at Pitt and before that Charlotte. He'll be able to help right away at Tulane, because he did start 12 games for an ACC school that finished last in 2019-20.
C Patrick Tape' (6-10, 232). Former school: Columbia (11.3ppg, 5.9rpg, 66.7% FG). New school: ?
Comments: This just occurred on Thursday. Tape' had originally committed to Duke, but decided to de-commit. He did not play in 2019-20 due to an injury. He was considering Syracuse, USC and Ohio State before he made his first move to Duke.
