Free CS:GO Betting Picks 5/21 - DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: Europe - Astralis vs. G2 Preview & Prediction
The world's top ranked CS:GO squad Astralis is back in action. Their opponent this time will be the world's 5th ranked team G2. Both of these teams should be safely locked into a bid for the Playoffs stage of the DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: Europe. If G2 were to win this contest, they could possibly take the top seed of Group A from Astralis.
The DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: Europe is broken into two stages, Group Stage which is currently taking place and Playoffs. The event features 16 teams from the European region. During the Group Stage, the teams are split into four groups of four and they take place in a round-robin style bracket featuring best-of-three map matches taking place over three days. The winners of each group will move into the Upper Bracket of the Playoffs while second and third place will move into the Lower Bracket.
Astralis Preview
The Danish powerhouse Astralis is currently ranked 1st in the world, and they show it also. They debuted a new player in JUGi after gla1ve stepped away from the team a few days ago, and they haven't missed a beat since then. They carry a 21-8 record since the beginning for 2020, and the team has shown no signs of slowing down. They are riding a 10 contest win streak and have blanked their opponents in their last five.
G2 Preview
The mainly French roster of G2 is no slouch in their own right although they tend to be somewhat inconsistent. When kennyS, nexa and huNter- are playing their best, G2 can take on any team in the world. However, if one or two of those guys aren't having a good match, then the team tends to fall. They were caught slipping by North to open Group A play before getting back to business with a win over Heroic in their last match.
Pick: Astralis Spread/Handicap -1.5 Maps (+135 @ Bovada)
G2 may be one of the top teams in the world, but Astralis is the clear-cut best team worldwide. The Danes are riding a 10 match winning streak and have dominated the year of 2020. G2 can play like a world-class team, or they could play terribly. I believe that they will be outmatched against this Astralis squad that hasn't even lost a map in their last five matches. I'm going to continue to ride the hot hand as Astralis will blank their sixth straight opponent.
