Free CS:GO Betting Picks 5/30 - #HomeSweetHome: Week 6 - forZe vs. sAw Preview & Prediction

Action rolls on as forZe and sAw are set to square off in the quarterfinals of the #HomeSweetHome: Week 6 Playoffs. The Playoffs feature the top eight teams from the Group Stage taking place in a single elimination bracket. Each match in the Playoffs are set as best-of-three-map matches.

forZe Preview

The Russian powerhouse forZe enters this bout ranking 26th in the HLTV world CS:GO rankings. They made relatively easy work of Group B during the Group Stage. They took down Apeks in their opening match, winning 16-10. The team then advanced to the winners match, and they dominated SKADE in a 2-0 blanking. They finished the Group Stage with the second highest round margin, winning 24 more rounds than they lost on their way to securing a berth in the Playoffs.

Interestingly enough, forZe only has one map that they have been overly dominant on, and that is Mirage. The team has a 12-6 record on this map in the past three months, and an impressive 73% win rate after getting the first kill on Mirage. Inferno would be their second best map as they have a 14-8 record there the past three months. FL1T and xsepower are the heart and soul behind the team. The two have combined to average 1.46 kills and only 1.18 deaths per round during the last three months.

sAw Preview

The four players from Portugal and one player from Spain make up the sAw roster. They come into this battle ranking 70th in the HLTV rankings. Their path to the Playoffs wasn't very easy, but they made it through. They were dominated by Salamander Gaming in their opening match, losing 16-5. The team survived the elimination match against HONORIS, winning 2-1. Then, sAw got their revenge on Salamander Gaming in the decider match, sweeping them 2-0 and advancing to the Playoffs.

One thing that makes sAw such a tough team is their diverse map pool. They have yet to lose a match on the map Dust2 in the past three months with a 3-0 record. Vertigo is arguably their best map as they have a 5-1 record there over the past three months including an 87.8% win rate after getting the first kill. In order for sAw to win, they will need their top performances from MURiRiS and stadodo. MUTiRiS hs 0.76 kills per round and stadodo has 0.71 kills per round over the past three months, leading the team statistically.

Pick: forZe Spread/Handicap -1.5 Maps (+120 @ Bovada)

Although sAw has a versatile map pool, they are still overmatched in this contest. Their opponent forZe is easily one of the best teams in this tournament, and their path to the Playoffs shows that. They made fairly quick work of both opponents they faced, meanwhile sAw struggled some in their first two contests. I believe that forZe is the clear-cut much better team in this contest, and they will take care of business in this battle.
