Free CS:GO Betting Picks 6/1 - ESEA Season 34: Premier Division - Australia - Mako vs. Control Esports Preview & Prediction

Week 6 action from the ESEA Season 34: Premier Division - Australia Regular Season rolls on, and we have a great battle upcoming between Mako and Control Esports. The Regular Season features nine weeks of action with a round-robin league format. Each match in the Regular Season will be a best-of-one-map battle, and the top eight teams will advance to the Playoffs.

Mako Preview

Mako comes into this contest ranked 134th in the HLTV world rankings. Although they've been competitive, they have caught a couple bad breaks. They enter with a 3-5 record so far, but they have only lost five more rounds than they have won. The team has to be ready to get back into the win column after they had their three match winning streak broken last match.

The majority of Mako's firepower comes from behind Wolfy and callum_murray, although the two still have some glaring flaws in their game. Wolfy has averaged 0.76 kills per round over the past three months, but at the same time he has averaged 0.73 deaths per round. His counterpart callum_murray has notched 0.71 kills per round but he has averaged 0.74 deaths a round in this same time period.

Control Esports Preview

Control Esports enters this match ranking 122nd in the HLTV world rankings, and they have been a spotty team. During this tournament, they currently hold a 4-6 record. At the same time, they have only lost six more rounds which shows that they have been at least competitive. They lost their last match, snapping their two match win streak in the process.

The team has been somewhat successful on the map Mirage over the past three months. They hold a 3-1 record on this map, and if this is the map that will be played then they will hold an advantage. Their team leader is lew who averaged 0.71 kills with only 0.66 deaths per round over the past three months. Control Esports will need him as well as Bz and tieay to have a good match in order to pull a win.

Pick: Control Esports ML (-120 @ Bovada)

I am siding with the very slight favorite in this contest. Mako is not a team that overly impresses me, and their roster doesn't have quite the firepower as Control Esports. Bz, tieay and lew make up a pretty nice team core for Control Esports, and they should do their thing in this battle. I wouldn't necessarily expect Control Esports to be challenging for any top-tier tournaments any time soon, but I am confident that they will win this contest.
