pro100 Preview

Record: 1-5

HLTV world ranking: 54th

The favorites in this match haven't had a fun ride in this event, but they are normally a tough team. The Russian based team pro100 has been on a losing streak as they have had a new fifth player in fostar. Overpass and Nuke are the only maps they've been successful on over the past three months, and they need a win here in the worst way. The team peaked at a 31st ranking, and it has been downhill since then for pro100.

Something that pokes out to me about pro100 and what I believe is the source of their recent struggles is no one seems to be stepping up as a team leader statistically. The foursome of WorldEdit, NickelBack, dimasick and fostar all are averaging kill to death ratios lingering right around an even one mark, but that's not good enough to get the job done. They need someone on their team, a roster that features many veterans, to step into a leader role and will the team to a much needed victory.

Team Singularity Preview

Record: 2-3

HLTV world rankings: 103rd

Team Singularity has been on a downward slide since their peak ranking of 58th on March 2nd earlier in the year. A lot of this I feel can be contributed from the fact that they haven't been able to mount any sustained success on any map. Over the past three months, the only map that they even have an even record on is Overpass, and it is tough to put any faith behind a team that can't mount any consistency.

Their team leader mertz has been outstanding over the past three months despite struggles from his teammates. The Denmark native has averaged 0.78 kills and only 0.69 deaths per round during this time period. There's two things that absolutely have to happen in order for Team Singularity to win this match. The first is that mertz has to continue to play his solid style of play that he's been doing. The second and most important is that one or two other players need to step up and provide aid for their normal team leader.

Pick: pro100 Spread/Handicap -2.5 Rounds (+100 @ Bovada)

I have zero faith in Team Singularity at this point. I feel like pro100 has caught a few bad breaks, and a recent roster change shifted their chemistry some. Team Singularity is in poor form and pro100 need this one in the worst way. The veterans of pro100 know they need to build chemistry as they look to return to their previous form that saw them rise to 31st in the HLTV world CS:GO rankings. I expect pro100 to break through and win this match, and a three round advantage is an easy spread to cover.
