Free League Of Legends Betting Picks 5/28 - Mid-Season Cup 2020 - T1 vs. FPX Preview & Prediction
Mid-Season Cup 2020 action will get underway with T1 scheduled to face FunPlus Phoenix (FPX). The Mid-Season Cup 2020 is a battle between the top four teams from both the LCK (premier Korean League of Legends league) and the LPL (premier Chinese League of Legends league). The event is broken into two stages, Group Stage and Knockout Stage.
The eight participants are broken into two groups of four for the Group Stage. They then take place in a round-robin style bracket featuring six single-round matches between the four teams in one calendar day. The top two from each group will advance to a single elimination bracket for the Knockout Stage which will feature best-of-five round matches.
T1 Preview
You can't mention thoroughbred in League of Legends without mentioning T1. They are the first and only organization to win the World Championship three times and also twice consecutively. The defending LCK Spring Split champions are one of the best LoL squads in the world.
T1 has a plethora of Premier Tier championships under their belt and they capped their nice Spring Split run with a 3-0 victory over Gen.G in the finals. Teddy is not only one of the best ADCs in the world but one of the best League of Legends players in the world. He held a 7.13 KDA (Kill Death Assist Ratio) which topped the LCK during the Spring Split. Pair him with top-laner Canna who held a KDA of 6.17 and you have a dangerous team.
FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) Preview
FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) was the third-place finisher during the LPL Spring 2020 Split. FPX was dominated 0-3 by JD Gaming (the future champion of the split) in the semifinals. They rebounded nicely with a dominating 3-0 victory of Invictus Gaming in the third-place match of the league.
FPX is consistently one of the world's top League of Legends teams. This is evident as they have appeared in four Premier Tier events since July of 2019 with a third-place finish, a second-place finish and two event wins under their belt. Their starting composition is super-talented in all five positions although the team is clearly headed by Doinb. In fact, Doinb was named to the 1st All-Pro Team during the Spring Split.
Pick: FPX Spread/Handicap +4.5 Kills (-115 @ Bovada)
With this being a single-game match, I am all over FPX with the spread. I truly believe that this battle is almost a toss-up. T1 is clearly one of the best League of Legends teams in the world, but FPX is no slouch themselves. T1 most likely has the better chance of winning this match outright behind the wheels of Teddy and Canna. However, FPX will keep this battle close and I am fully confident that they will not have more than four less kills than T1.
