Free League Of Legends Betting Picks 5/30 - Mid-Season Cup 2020 - Top Esports (TES) vs. Gen.G Preview & Prediction

The second matchup of the Knockout Stage of the Mid-Season Cup 2020 will be a battle between LPL and LCK as Top Esports will battle with Gen.G.The Mid-Season Cup 2020 is a battle between the top four teams from both the LCK (premier Korean League of Legends league) and the LPL (premier Chinese League of Legends league). The event is broken into two stages, Group Stage and Knockout Stage.

The Knockout Stage features the top two teams from either group. They will compete in a single elimination style bracket. Matches will be played in best-of-five format with the first game in each series being a "blind pick" and the remaining games in each series champions will be selected by draft.

Top Esports Preview

Top Esports finished the Group A Stage with a 2-1 record. They opened the round with a win over DAMWON Gaming before falling victim to FunPlus Phoenix in their second match. They were able to seal their bid to the Knockout Stage as they took down T1 in a battle in which the winner advanced and the loser was eliminated.

Much of Top Esports' late Spring Split success came after the return of JackeyLove, one of the best ADCs in the world. The former Invictus Gaming stud JackeyLove signed with Top Esports April 3rd and provided the team with a huge boost, picking up 2 MVPs throughout the playoffs. The real bread and butter of the team has been Knight. The mid-laner led the entire LPL Playoffs as he was named MVP five times during that period.

Gen.G Preview

Gen.G had an interesting path through the Group Stage. They opened with an upset of JD Gaming before DragonX took them down. They were able to dominated Invictus Gaming, and then found themselves in a three way tiebreaker for the two advancing spots. They got revenge on DragonX in the tiebreakers, securing their spot in the Knockout Stage.

ADC Ruler and the mid-laner Bdd are an extremely potent one-two punch when they are playing to their full potential. In fact, the two hold a combined KDA of 13.76 and both have a kill participation percentage of at least 70.7%. It's not perfectly clear who Gen.G will roll out at the support position. However, the team has won double as many games as they have lost with either Life or Kellin in this role so they are in good hands regardless of which is playing.

Pick: Gen.G ML (+115 @ Bovada)

I like Gen.G to win this series against Top Esports. Top Esports weren't overly impressive to me during the Group Stage. They knocked off DAMWON Gaming who was overmatched and T1, although T1 didn't look quite as strong either. Gen.G's only loss of the stage was to DragonX who was playing well above their normal level and they were able to avenge that loss also. JackeyLove and Knight are really good, but they have been spotty. I believe Gen.G will take care of business and advance to the finals here.
