Free League Of Legends Betting Picks - Mid-Season Cup 2020 - DragonX (DRX) vs. Invictus Gaming (iG) Preview & Prediction
Action continues with Group B as DragonX will do battle with Invictus Gaming. The Mid-Season Cup 2020 is a battle between the top four teams from both the LCK (premier Korean League of Legends league) and the LPL (premier Chinese League of Legends league). The event is broken into two stages, Group Stage and Knockout Stage.
The eight participants are broken into two groups of four for the Group Stage. They then take place in a round-robin style bracket featuring six single-round matches between the four teams in one calendar day. The top two from each group will advance to a single-elimination bracket for the Knockout Stage which will feature best-of-five round matches.
DragonX Preview
DragonX enters as the third place finisher in the LCK Spring Playoffs. They were able to take down fellow tournament-participator DAMWON Gaming 3-2 in the quarterfinals before falling to the eventual champion T1 in the semifinals. They were able to avoid being sweeped in that match in which they were overmatched though, losing 3-1.
Although DragonX finished 3rd in the LCK, they are an extremely tough team. They turned in a 14-4 record in the Spring Split which was part of a three way tie for first in the Split. Mid-laner Chovy and ADC Deft are the firepower behind the team. Top-laner Doran and jungler Pyosik are no pushovers either. DragonX has the potential to take down any of the teams in their group.
Invictus Gaming Preview
Invictus Gaming barely squeezed into this tournament, but they're here and they are no pushovers. They finished fourth in the LPL Spring Split playoffs and were dominated by FunPlus Phoenix 3-0 in the 3rd Place Match. Their playoff run was disappointing after finishing first in the Spring Split with a 14-2 record.
ADC Puff is the bread and butter behind Invictus Gaming's attack. His 4.78 kills per game leads the team by almost a whole kill and he is the only one with over a kill share percentage of over 30%. They lost their best jungler Leyan as he signed with Vici Gaming through the break. This will be interested as the team was 21-10 with Leyan, but only went 8-7 with Ning who will be starting in the jungler role for this tournament.
Pick: DragonX Spread/Handicap +4.5 Kills (-140 @ Bovada)
I am playing this contest safely. Invictus Gaming had a tough run during the LPL Spring Split Playoffs, and they lost their best jungler Leyan also. They were only 8-7 with Ning at the jungler role as opposed to 21-10 with Leyan. Meanwhile DragonX is a tough team and easily the second best team in Group B in my opinion. Give me the free kills handicap with DragonX although their moneyline is worth a look also.
