Free League Of Legends Betting Picks - Mid-Season Cup 2020 - DragonX (DRX) vs. JD Gaming (JDG) Preview & Prediction
Today's action will close with what should be a fun one as DragonX will take on JD Gaming. The Mid-Season Cup 2020 is a battle between the top four teams from both the LCK (premier Korean League of Legends league) and the LPL (premier Chinese League of Legends league). The event is broken into two stages, Group Stage and Knockout Stage.
The eight participants are broken into two groups of four for the Group Stage. They then take place in a round-robin style bracket featuring six single-round matches between the four teams in one calendar day. The top two from each group will advance to a single-elimination bracket for the Knockout Stage which will feature best-of-five round matches.
DragonX Preview
DragonX enters as the third place finisher in the LCK Spring Playoffs. They were able to take down fellow tournament-participator DAMWON Gaming 3-2 in the quarterfinals before falling to the eventual champion T1 in the semifinals. They were able to avoid being sweeped in that match in which they were overmatched though, losing 3-1.
Although DragonX finished 3rd in the LCK, they are an extremely tough team. They turned in a 14-4 record in the Spring Split which was part of a three way tie for first in the Split. Mid-laner Chovy and ADC Deft are the firepower behind the team. Top-laner Doran and jungler Pyosik are no pushovers either. DragonX has the potential to take down any of the teams in their group.
JD Gaming Preview
The defending LPL Spring Split Playoff champions JD Gaming are here and ready to roll. They swept FunPlus Phoenix 3-0 in the semifinals before outlasting Top Esports 3-2 to take the championship. JD Gaming is a perrenial competitor for Major Tier tournaments each year and they will be a tough task here also.
Their ADC LokeN paired with mid-laner YaGao and jungler Kanavi are a force to be reckoned with. Team fighting is one of the strongest parts of JD Gaming's gameplay as four of their five starters have a kill participation percentage of over 66%. Kanavi is one of the best junglers in the entire world of League of Legends. A strong jungler who can control the jungle parts of the map and win one on one fights is a very strong weapon to possess.
Pick: JD Gaming Spread/Handicap -5.5 Kills (-125 @ Bovada)
I have to side with JD Gaming in this closing battle of the day. DragonX is certainly a tough opponent, but JD Gaming's team fighting is almost second to none. Top to bottom there isn't many teams in the world much less in this tournament that can compete with JD Gaming. They are always contenders for major tournaments and they will take care of DragonX to close out the day.
