League of Legends Picks - 4/20

Riot LCK

  • DragonX (-345) vs. Damwon Gaming (+235)

This is the second round of the LCK playoffs, and DragonX has their hands full with a red-hot Damwon squad. Damwon Gaming just pulled a first-round upset over kT Rolster and they did so in convincing fashion. This will be a best-of-five series, and I expect Damwon to put up another tough fight. I'm not overly confident that they will win outright, but I believe that Damwon will force a fifth game.

Pick : Damwon Gaming Spread +1.5 (+110)

Tencent LPL

  • LGD Gaming (-160) vs. Rogue Warriors (+115)

Neither of these teams have much to play for here as they are both eliminated from playoff contention. This is a battle between underachievers this Spring Split and it will be interesting to see how these two play this one out. I don't have a feel either way for a winner in this contest. Instead, I am playing the total in this contest. I feel as though both of these squads will be wanting a win to end the split on a high note, and there's no way this one doesn't go the distance.

Pick : Over 2.5 Maps (-105)

  • Team WE (-110) vs. Oh My God (-125)

There's a ton riding on this contest as this one will decide the final playoff spot for the LPL Spring Split. Both of these squads have their flaws, but there's one thing that sets these teams apart statistically. Team WE has the higher average of kills per game, and I expect them to squeeze out a close victory here to seal a playoff berth. I believe that Team WE will empty out their bag of tricks and pull off a match-deciding game three.

Pick : Team WE ML (-110)

Bonus Pick : Over 2.5 Maps (-105)

  • FunPlus Phoenix (-240) vs. Top eSports (+175)

Interestingly enough, we will get a glimpse of two teams who are already locked into the playoffs in the last match of the Spring Split. This contest features a battle between two of the best mid laners in the LPL in FunPlus Phoenix's Doing and Top eSports's Knight. Top eSports could potentially still take the fourth seed in the playoffs and clinch a bye directly into the quarterfinals here, but they have a tall task in front of them as they would have to win 2-0. My best bet for this contest is that Top eSports can, at the very least, win one of the three games in the series.

Pick : Over 2.5 Maps (+105)
