League of Legends 4/25 LPL & LCK Odds, Preview & Picks

It's a pleasure to be back with more fire for League of Legends bettors! If you're new to League of Legends, head over to my beginner's breakdown where I give a quick summary of how the game is played and why you should be betting it.

Willie's Record - 9-4

I hope everyone out there has hopped on the train, because we're on fire right now! Much like my last round of picks, I don't see any plays with value from the European Masters, so I will stick to the LPL Spring Split Playoffs and the LCK Finals matches. The second quarterfinal contest in the LPL Spring Split Playoffs will feature FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) taking on EDward Gaming (EDG). The LCK Finals will see an intriguing matchup with Gen.G doing battle with T1.

LPL Spring Split Playoffs

FPX (-425) vs. EDG (+275)

Projected Starting Lineups

FPX - GimGoon, Tian, Doinb, Lwx, Crisp

EDG - Aodi, JunJia, Scout, Hope, Meiko

We have an interesting matchup here. FPX had the better season, but EDG is hitting their stride at the right time. GimGoon has been solid in the top lane for FPX, but Doinb and Lwx have been the firepower behind the team with a combined 12.01 KDA (Kills, Deaths, Assists). Aodi has been the difference-maker for EDG with his outstanding play in the top lane as the team is now 12-6 with him in the lineup.

Pick : EDG Spread +1.5 (+110)

I love getting this play at plus money. Be sure to check kenzi's twitter page to make sure that Aodi is in the starting lineup first, but if Aodi is starting, then I am all over EDG's spread. FPX is a blueblood, but EDG is a tough team themselves.

When these two met before the playoffs, FPX pulled out a 2-1 win. I fully expect that EDG can win at least two games here in this rematch with Aodi manning the top lane. Hope is the better ADC, and I expect EDG to keep this one close behind Hope and Aodi's shouders.

LCK Spring Split Finals

T1 (-180) vs. Gen.G (+130)

Projected Starting Lineups

T1 - Canna, Cuzz, Faker, Teddy, Effort

Gen.G - Rascal, Clid, Bdd, Ruler, Life

There's no surprises as to who's playing in this finals matchup. This is a battle between the top two teams in the standings, and we're set for a good one. The top laners in this one are fairly even, although T1's Canna may hold a slight advantage. The key matchup to watch in this contest is between the ADCs. Teddy and Ruler are both outstanding players, and whoever can get the upper hand should lead their team to victory.

Pick : Over 4.5 Maps (+165)

The safest play in this contest would most likely be Gen.G's spread (+1.5, -165). However, that's a lot of juice, and I fully expect this battle to go the distance. This is a classic meeting between the two best games in the league and I expect a slugging match.

These two met twice during the Spring Split, and T1 pulled out a 2-1 victory in both of those meetings. Both of these were close contests, and with this being the finals I can easily see this taking five games to decide a winner. I am playing the over at plus money and popping some popcorn as I expect a solid showdown.
