George Mason Patriots vs. Saint Joseph's Hawks Picks and Prediction for Wednesday, February 25 2026
Use Code WWWC More Atlantic 10 action on Wednesday in this GMU vs. Saint Joe's prediction. George Mason (21-6, 9-5 A10) looked like an A-10 contender before a slump and is now tied for fourth place in the league with Dayton and the Hawks (17-10, 9-5 A10). These teams previously met on Feb. 7, with the Patriots winning 60-52 at home as a 6.5-point favorite. Saint Joseph's and George Mason are set to meet on Wednesday night at 7 PM ET from Philadelphia. Patriots are sliding
At one point, George Mason looked like the third Atlantic 10 team to make a run at an NCAA Tournament bid, along with VCU and Saint Louis. At 99 in the latest NET Rankings, they are not even the third-best A-10 team, behind Saint Louis (22nd), VCU (45th), and George Washington (86th). After losing three straight and four of their last five games, GMU is 9-5 in the A10, and that at-large dream is beyond over. What the Patriots need is a win over an 82-65 defeat to Dayton at home on Feb. 18. GMU could not stop the Flyers from the perimeter, who made 11 of 21 three-pointers.
Jahari Long led the Patriots with 21 points and five boards, while Fatt Hill added 15 points. It's hard to pinpoint what happened to the Patriots after they started 9-0 and 18-1. Their first loss in the A-10 came at Rhode Island on Jan. 24, and since then, GMU has gone 4-4. Kory Mincy leads the Patriots with 14.8 points per game, while Long adds 11.8 points and 3.7 assists. KenPom has the Patriots ranked 101st overall, 111th in Adjusted Offensive Efficiency, and 114th in Adjusted Defense. They also rank 137th in assist-to-turnover ratio and 61st in total rebounding percentage.
Glover-Toscano leads Hawks against Ramblers
Saint Joe's is 9-5 in the A-10, but their NET Ranking is just 152nd due to the fact that the Hawks are just 0-3 against Quad 1 teams and 0-3 against Q2 teams. They've taken advantage of the lower-tiered teams, but at some point, they're going to need a bigger win to show that they can win the conference tournament. On Saturday, they jumped out to a 15-point halftime lead over Loyola and cruised to a 75-61 home win over the Rambles on Saturday at home. The Hawks were led by Jaiden Glover-Toscano and Dasear Hawkins scored 23 points apiece.

Glover-Toscano, a 6-6 transfer from St. John's, leads Saint Joe's with 15.7 points per game, but is shooting just 41.5% from the field and 34.6% from beyond the arc. Derek Simpson adds 13.4 points, 5.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game. The Hawks are ranked 148th overall by KenPom, 246th in Adjusted Offensive Efficiency and 72nd in Adjusted Defense. They rank 132nd in total rebounding percentage and 125th in assist-to-turnover ratio.
Spread Pick for GMU vs. Saint Joe's
George Mason vs. Saint Joseph's Prediction, Odds and Picks
- Saint Joe's +1.5 (4 units)
Saint Joe's is due for a quality win against an A-10 opponent. The Hawks shot poorly against GMU in the first meeting and committed 12 turnovers, but still lost by just eight because they outrebounded them by eight. Mason shot just 41% from the field and 25% (4 of 16) from long range. Both teams play solid defense, but the Hawks are outstanding at home, holding teams to just 39.2% from the field and 29.5% from beyond the arc at their 3,800-seat Hagan Arena. That's a lot smaller than George Mason's 10,000-seat Eagle Bank Arena. That's also a home-court advantage and a reason why the Hawks are 11-3 at home.
Totals Pick for GMU vs. Saint Joseph's
- Under 137.5 (4 units)
The Hawks do like to run a little more than expected, at 1555th in Adjusted Tempo, but George Mason (337th) is extremely methodical. Both teams shot horrifically in the first meeting and you got a game that went well under the total. These teams have played unders in three of their last four meetings. The Hawks, despite their tempo, have gone under in six straight games and a lot of that is due to their subpar shooting as they rank 317th in field goal percentage (42.5) and 277th in points per game at 73.5 points per game. Expect another rock fight.
