Georgia vs. Florida State Pick and Preview
Spread Pick for Georgia vs. Florida State
- Bulldogs -2.5 (5 Units)
Georgia ranks 11th nationally in near-proximity shooting percentage and has a deep rotation, with 11 players averaging double-digit minutes. The Dawgs get to the foul line a lot (17th in FT rate) and make the most of their opportunities to score off breakaway steals (3rd) and off offensive rebounds (18th). The latter is especially concerning for Florida State, as the home team ranks 363rd in potential quick points allowed off second-chance offensive rebounds versus the average opponent, per Haslametrics. The Seminoles are also coming off a disastrous 36-point loss to Texas A&M, while the Bulldogs have lost just once (in OT vs. Clemson).
I'll ride with Georgia on Tuesday!
Over/Under Pick for Georgia vs. Florida State
- Over 169.5 (5 Units)
Both teams play at breakneck speed, as the Bulldogs rank 9th in pace and the Seminoles rank 12th, per Haslametrics. They also rank 3rd and 11th in quick points off breakaway steals, as UGA leads the country in fast break scoring (29.6 per game). While the Bulldogs are likely to dominate on the offensive glass, this game could be competitive for 30-plus minutes. FSU is similarly deep and isn't afraid to let it fly from beyond the arc (2nd in 3PT rate), which is an x-factor against the Georgia defense.
