Gonzaga vs. Michigan, Odds, Picks and Prediction, Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025
We have the Players Era Championship Game and a Gonzaga vs. Michigan prediction. The No. 12 Zags (7-0) met the No. 7 Michigan Wolverines (6-0) at 9:30 pm ET on Wednesday in Las Vegas. This isn't a typical championship bracket, as these teams had the widest margin of victories in their two wins. Both teams ran up the score on Tuesday to get here. Michigan crushed San Diego State (94-54) on Monday and Auburn (102-72) on Tuesday. Gonzaga beat Alabama by 10 on Monday and then took care of Maryland 100-61 on Tuesday night. Zags crush Maryland
Brandon Huff shot 9-of-10 from the field to lead Gonzaga over Maryland by 39 on Tuesday night. Graham Ike is Gonzaga's best player, who was held to 13 points, six rebounds and four assists. But they didn't need him to be productive in 26 minutes as the bench provided 51 points. The Bulldogs shot 58% from the field and 14-of-33 from beyond the arc (42%).
Huff (6-10) is averaging 16 points per game and is shooting 75% from the field in five games. Ike (6-9) adds 17 points and 9.0 rebounds, while shooting 54.4% from the field. He had 21 points and 11 rebounds against Alabama on Monday.
Defensively, Gonzaga has been outstanding, holding teams to just 62.1% from the field, 35.9% shooting (11th), and 24.9% (16th) from long range. Offensively, they are shooting 53% from the field (9th), but just 34.8% (141st) from beyond the arc.
Wolverines are rolling
Michigan pounded both opponents, including No. 21 Auburn by 30 on Tuesday. Yaxel Lendeborg had 17 points and five rebounds, while Roddy Gayle Jr. also had 17 points with six boards. The Wolverines shot 51% from the field and 40% (14-35) from long range. The defense was on point as they held the Tigers ot just 35% shooting.
Ledeborg, a UAB transfer, leads a balanced offense with 15.3 points per game and 7 rebounds. Morez Johnson Jr. adds 13.5 points, while 7-3 UCLA transfer Aday Mara contributes 9.7 points and 9.5 rebounds. Just like Gonzaga, Michigan's weakness (it's early), is three-point shooting (34.3%). Defensively, they allow teams to shoot just 34.5% from the field. When it comes to rebounding, the Wolverines are elite, ranking 14th in rebounding rate, though Gonzaga ranks 11th.
Spread Pick for Gonzaga vs. Michigan
Gonzaga vs. Michigan Pick and Prediction
- Michigan +2.5 (4 units)
This should be a good one, but ultimately, the Wolverines play in a better conference. Both teams are top 4 on KenPom, but Michigan has a 29th in SOS compared ot 65 for Gonzaga. The difference is the 7-3 Mara, who will make things difficult for Huff and Ike in the paint, forcing them to take perimeter shots. Taking three-pointers or long twos when you've played three games in three nights is a difficult task. Take the Wolverines as the slight dog.
Total for Gonzaga vs. Michigan
- Over 163.5 (4 units)
Despite their size, Michigan wants to push the ball (35th in tempo). Gonzaga is all about tempo and scoring a lot of points. They have gone over in three straight games. The Wolverines have averaged 98 points per game in this tournament. Not saying they'll do that in this game, but both teams will easily go over 80 points in this one.
