Minnesota Golden Gophers vs Purdue Boilermakers Picks

Minnesota vs Purdue Spread Pick

  • Purdue Boilermakers -18.5 (5 units)

It was not a good result for Purdue as they lost by 23 points to Iowa State in their last outing. But Purdue should bounce back with an easy win over Minnesota. Purdue has covered in their last two games as double-digit favorites. The Boilermakers have the best offense according to KenPom and they are hitting the 13th most 3-pointers. Minnesota looked good against Indiana in their last game, but consistency remains the problem. With a hungry Purdue team to get back into the win column, Minnesota will struggle as they are one of the worst 3-point defensive teams in the league.

Take Purdue to cover.

Minnesota vs Purdue Over/Under Pick

  • Under 141.5 (5 units)Β

These are two of the slowest teams in the nation. Minnesota is the 12th slowest team in pace according to KenPom. The Boilermakers also rank 334th pace, too. Expect a slow game with a low-scoring affair as Purdue also ranks 70th in points allowed. Minnesota ranks 56th in points allowed, too. The under is 6-3 when Purdue has played this season. The under is 3-1 when Minnesota has been an underdog.

Take the under on Wednesday.
