NC State vs. Texas Spread Pick

  • NC State (4 units)

Texas cruised to the win over Chaminade in their consolation bracket matchup but faces stiffer competition in this contest. NC State has plenty of depth with six guys averaging in double figures in the first few weeks of the season. The Wolfpack has been sound defensively as well and rebounded nicely after getting stung by Seton Hall in the opening round. Texas has been good on the glass this season and capable on the defensive end but they have been foul prone at times. That issue, and the fact that NC State shoots the ball much better than the Longhorns at the stripe, proves to be the difference. Look for the Wolfpack to scratch out a victory here.

NC State vs. Texas Over/Under Pick
