The Sun Devils are 2.5-point spread favorites, and the game total is 163 points scored.

Cowboys attempt a lot of near-proximity shots

Oklahoma State (16-7 SU, 11-12 ATS, and 11-12 O/U) lost 84-47 to Arizona in its previous game. The Cowboys shot just 25 percent from the field and missed 12 of their 23 free throws. The Wildcats dominated on the glass, outrebounding them 56-35, and in the paint (+40 scoring margin). Arizona led by as many as 43 despite shooting 14 percent from three and 64 percent at the foul line. It was a disappointing result for an OSU squad that beat 16th-ranked BYU in its previous game.

The Pokes are 4-6 straight-up and 5-5 against the spread in their last ten games. They are ninth in the Big 12 basketball standings with a 4-6 conference record. Oklahoma State scores 84.8 points per game (43rd) on 46.8 percent shooting (86th), including 34.3 percent from beyond the arc (164th). Defensively, the Cowboys allow 80.6 points per game (306th) on 44.6 percent shooting (220th), including 34.2 percent from three (218th). OK-State ranks 59th nationally, including 60th in offensive efficiency and 84th in defensive efficiency, per KenPom.

The Cowboys are led by senior guard Anthony Roy, who scores 17.8 points per game on 45.6 percent shooting. He also averages 3.8 rebounds per contest. A few other Oklahoma State stars to watch on Tuesday against Arizona State are senior forward Parsa Fallah (13.6 PPG and 6.2 RPG), sophomore guard Vyctorius Miller (12.8 PPG and 3.1 RPG), and junior guard Jaylen Curry (10.3 PPG and 4.2 APG).

Oklahoma State Cowboys Injury Report:

  • Sophomore forward Andrija Vukovic (4.9 PPG) is questionable.

Arizona State is 4-1 ATS in its last five

Arizona State (12-12 SU, 14-10 ATS, and 13-11 O/U) lost 78-70 to Colorado in its previous game, failing to cover as 3.5-point underdogs. The Sun Devils, who are 3-7 (6-4 ATS) in their last ten games, shot 40 percent from the field and lost the rebounding battle 40-26. The Buffaloes also dominated in the paint, where they outscored Sparky 42-26.

The Sun Devils were 13-20 last season, finishing 4-16 inย Big 12 Conference competition (15th place). After the regular season, they were invited to participate in the inaugural College Basketball Crown tournament, where they lost in the first round to Nebraska. ASU is led by 11th-year head coach Bobby Hurley, who has compiled a 177-157 record in Tempe. The 2025-26 Sun Devils squad is ranked 73rd nationally by KenPom, including 69th in offensive efficiency and 112th in defensive efficiency.

Arizona State has a new-look roster for this season, with only two returnees. Hurley added one freshman and seven transfers this past offseason in an effort to get back over .500 and cool off his hot seat. Senior Pepperdine transfer guard Maurice Odum leads the team in scoring, averaging 17.2 points with 6.2 dimes per game. Two other Sun Devils are averaging double-digit points: 7-foot-1 frosh center Mor Massamba Diop (13.8 PPG, 5.8 RPG, and 2.1 BPG) and senior guard Anthony Johnson (13.4 PPG and 3.0 APG). A couple of other players to watch against Oklahoma State are junior guard Bryce Ford (7.6 PPG) and sophomore forward Santiago Trouet (7.4 PPG and 5.4 RPG).

Oklahoma State vs. Arizona State Pick and Preview

Spread Pick for Oklahoma State vs. Arizona State

  • Sun Devils -2.5 (4 Units)

Betting Trend: ASU is 4-1 ATS in its last five games.

The Sun Devils have more momentum than the Cowboys, who have struggled offensively recently (ranked 318th nationally in Haslametrics' Offensive Momentum metric). They managed only 47 points in their previous game, losing the confidence they built in their upset win over BYU. I don't expect the Pokes to bounce back on the road against an ASU team that's solid defensively at the rim and doesn't give up many second-chance buckets off offensive rebounds. The Cowboys lead the nation in near-proximity shot attempt rate, so that's a concern.

Oklahoma State is 1-4 straight-up on the road, as it ranks 293rd in eFG%, 317th in two-point percentage, and 345th in offensive rebounding percentage away from home. Those marks aren't likely to change in Tempe on Tuesday. Bet on Sparky to win and cover the small spread!

Over/Under Pick for Oklahoma State vs. Arizona State

  • Under 163 (4 Units)

Betting Trend: The under is 7-3 in OSU's last ten games.

The Cowboys' lack of offensive momentum and the matchup disadvantages they face around the rim suggest they won't score enough to push the total over 163 points. Arizona State has also done a fine job forcing turnovers at home, where it ranks just outside the top-50 nationally in opponent turnover percentage (20.3%). Oklahoma State won't be dominated on both ends of the court, though. The Pokes rank 31st nationally in adjusted defensive efficiency on the road, as they don't give up too many trips to the free-throw line and hold opponents to a low three-point attempt rate. That should be enough to keep the Sun Devils from scoring too many buckets on Tuesday night.
