Oklahoma eyes its fifth straight win
The Oklahoma Sooners (6-2; 2-6 ATS; 2-6 O/U) suffered two defeats in 2025-26, losing against Gonzaga 83-68 on the road and Nebraska 105-99 at the neutral site. Since that loss versus the Cornhuskers, the Sooners have won four straight games over Oral Roberts 95-71, Alcorn State 72-53, Marquette 75-74, and Wake Forest 86-68.

Last Tuesday, Oklahoma outrebounded Wake Forest 42-24 while holding the Demon Deacons to 33.9% shooting from the field. The Sooners made 48.1% of their field goals (8-for-25 from deep), and six guys scored in double figures. Senior forward Tae Davis and sophomore forward Derrion Reid notched 18 points each, while senior forward Mohamed Wague had 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Senior guard Nijel Pack is the team’s leading scorer with 18.5 points per game. Davis tallies 13.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, and Reid adds 12.1 points and 3.8 boards a night. The Sooners score 119.5 points per 100 possessions (27th in the country) and allow 103.8 points in return (92nd).
Arizona State’s win streak is over
The Arizona State Sun Devils (6-2; 5-3 ATS; 4-4 O/U) haven’t played since November 26, when they suffered an 88-75 defeat against USC in the Southwest Maui Invitational championship game. After four consecutive wins over Georgia State 75-62, Hawaii 83-76, Texas 87-86, and Washington State 100-94, the Sun Devils failed to cope with the Trojans.
USC shot 59.6% from the field (9-for-23 from deep), whereas Arizona State made just 42.3% of its field goals (8-for-25 from deep). Senior guard Maurice Odum led the way for the Sun Devils with 17 points and four assists, while fellow senior guard Anthony Johnson added 15 points off the bench.
Odum tallies 19.1 points and 6.0 assists per game, and Johnson posts 13.5 points a night. Arizona State ranks 74th in the country in adjusted offensive efficiency (113.7 points per 100 possessions) and 123rd in adjusted defensive efficiency (105.4).
Oklahoma vs. Arizona State Pick
Spread Pick for Oklahoma vs. Arizona State
- Arizona State +4.5 (5 units)
I expect a tight battle between Oklahoma and Arizona State. Both teams take good care of the ball, and neither side has impressed on the defensive side of the ball.
Oklahoma is 15th in the country in turnover percentage (13.5%), while Arizona State is 42nd in this category (14.3%). On paper, the Sooners’ offense is more efficient than Arizona State’s, but the Sun Devils’ offense has been solid with Maurice Odom at point guard.
The Sun Devils make 37.0% of their shots from deep (63rd in the country), and the Sooners’ defense is 243rd in 3-point percentage (34.9%). Arizona State will find a way to take advantage of Oklahoma’s defensive shortcomings and keep it close down the stretch.
The Sooners have struggled against the number this season and are 1-6 ATS in their last seven outings.
Over/Under Pick for Oklahoma vs. Arizona State
- Over 158.5 (5 units)
The line has been set pretty high, but given the way these two offenses have been performing lately, I can’t argue about it. Arizona State has scored at least 75 points in five straight games, while Oklahoma has scored 75 or more in five of its previous six.
The thing is that Oklahoma plays at a slow pace. The Sooners register 66.9 possessions per 40 minutes (268th in the nation), while the Sun Devils record 69.3 possessions per 40 minutes (150th).
I will take the over because of the Sun Devils’ 3-point shooting. The Sooners’ 3-point defense is the biggest flaw in their game, and the Sun Devils have to take full advantage of it.
