Junior guard Robert Davis Jr. was named the Sun Belt’s Preseason Player of the Year after averaging 15.6 points per game last season. Xavier (2-2 SU, 0-4 ATS, and 1-2-1 O/U) beat Marist and Le Moyne in its first two games, but lost to Santa Clara and Iowa in its last two games. The Musketeers average less than 70 points per game and lack the continuity and depth you want from a team laying points after two losses. It's not like they have been stout defensively, either, as their opponents are shooting over 50 percent from the field. Pitino is a good coach, but it will take him time to build a winner in the Big East.
