Xavier is off to a slow start offensively
Xavier (2-2 SU, 0-4 ATS, and 1-2-1 O/U) beat Marist and Le Moyne in its first two games, but lost to Santa Clara and Iowa in its last two games. The Musketeers fell 81-62 to the Hawkeyes, failing to cover the spread as 15.5-point underdogs. The 2025-26 Xavier basketball team is led by first-year head coach Richard Pitino, who coached New Mexico to the NCAA Tournament last season. The Musketeers return no scholarship players for the first time in program history. The Musketeers average less than 70 points per game and lack the continuity and depth you want from a team laying points after two losses. Pitino is a good coach, but it will take him time to build a winner in the Big East.
