Ducks not Quacking
After opening up with four straight winnable games over Hawaii, Rice, South Dakota State and rival Oregon State, the Ducks had a big step up in competition when they played in Las Vegas for the Players Era Festival and lost to No. 21 Auburn (84-73), San Diego State (97-80) and Creighton (76-66) in three of four days. They had some time off after Vegas and hosted No. 24 USC, falling 82-77. Oregon played the game without star center Nate Bittle (leg), who was injured in Las Vegas against San Diego State. Kwame Evans Jr. led the Duck with 23 points and nine rebounds.
The hope is that Oregon gets Bittle (7-0, 250) back against UCLA. He's having a career year with 16.3 points and 7.8 rebounds, while shooting 48.3% from the field and 7-of-20 (35%) from long range. Evans is a 6-10 forward from Baltimore, who has improved his play steadily over the years, averaging 12.6 points and 7.1 rebounds. Junior guard Jackson Sheltad runs the show, averaging 15.3 points and 5.1 assists, while shooting 36.9% from the field and 29% from long range.
KenPom has Oregon listed as the 84th-ranked squad in Net Rating, 89th in Adjusted Offensive Efficiency and 91st in Adjusted Defensive Efficiency.

Clark and Bilodeau step up against Huskies
UCLA was an 8-point favorite on Nov. 25 against Cal and fell 80-72 from the Chase Center in San Francisco. The Bruins rebounded to defeat Washington 82-80 in their first Big 10 game on Wednesday. Skyy Clark was outstanding with 25 points, while Tyler Bilodeau added 21 points, and Donovan Dent contributed 17 points and eight assists. The Bruins shot 53% from the field and 9-of-20 (45%) from three-point range.
The Bruins were outrebounded by eight against Washington and that is a concern for this team. They rank 98th in rebound rate and 50th in assist-to-turnover ratio. Bilodeau (6-9, 235) began his career at Oregon State and has been a very strong presence for the Bruins since last year. He missed the Cal game and they certainly miss him and his 14.8 points and his 41.2% three-point shooting. Dent was one of the biggest names in the transfer portal from New Mexico (20.6ppg, 6.4apg) and has struggled some adjusting, shooting just 35.8% from the field and 1-of-11 from beyond the arc, despite shooting 41.5% from three last year.
G Trent Perry (ankle) is questionable for this game. He's averaging 11 points and 2.9 assists and played well in the Cal game, while scoring 17 points.
Key Injuries for UCLA:
- G T. Perry (ankle) is questionable. He's averaging 11ppg and 2.9apg.

Spread Pick for Oregon vs. UCLA
Oregon vs. UCLA Prediction and Pick
- UCLA 88-Oregon 78
- UCLA +10.5 (4 units)
Both teams are struggling ATS, but Oregon relies too heavily on Bittle. UCLA also has dominated this series recently, winning seven straight against the spread. UCLA did lose to Cal, but Bilodeau did not play in that one, and he's their best offensive player. Even if Dent is not shooting well, he's still dishing out over six assists per game. The Bruins are holding teams to 30.5% shooting, and they are shooting 48% from the field. UCLA's rebounding issues shouldn't be a major problem because Oregon is 75th in rebound rate. Oregon has also lost eight straight games against the spread and this is their first true road game.
- Over 143 (4 units)
UCLA is a slower-paced team than Oregon, but they are efficient, averaging 80.4 points per game at home and shooting over 50% from the field. Oregon has gone over in five of their last six games. UCLA has gone over in three straight games. In terms of head-to-head matchups, these teams have gone over in three of their last four games.
