Beavers Trying to Maintain Momentum

Oregon State won for the fifth time in seven games as they took care of business over Pepperdine at home Saturday. The Beavers ran their record to 15-14 overall and stand fourth in the WCC with an 8-8 mark in conference play. Against Pepperdine, Oregon State led by as many as seven and trailed by as many as eight before going to the locker room trailing 42-36 at intermission. The Beavers were down nine in the opening minute of the second half and by seven with 15:14 to play before reeling off a 12-0 run. Oregon State used a 9-2 run to break a 66-66 tie and controlled the game the rest of the way. The Beavers shot 44.9% from the floor, including 11 of 29 from beyond the arc, and dominated the glass by a 49-27 margin. Josiah Lake II led six players in double figures with 18 points in the win.

The Beavers are putting up an average of 70.7 points per game this season, putting them 304th in the nation in scoring offense.
