Texas vs. Chaminade Pick
Texas vs. Chaminade Spread Pick
- Texas (4 units)
While one has to give credit to Chaminade for their spirited performance against Washington State, regression to the mean is inevitably coming. Texas won’t be caught asleep at the wheel the way the Cougars were as they saw what could happen if you underestimate your opponent. The Longhorns as a program is familiar with what can happen against the Silverswords as they fell to Chaminade in the most recent meeting in 2012. Texas had Arizona State dead to rights in the second half and let it slip away. Miller makes sure his team doesn’t make the same mistake twice. Take Texas here as they rebound from that loss.
Texas vs. Chaminade Over/Under Pick
- Over (4 units)
Texas has stayed under the mark in three of their six games on the year. The Longhorns are 32nd in defensive efficiency, 29th in effective field goal percentage defense (43.8%), 35th in allowed offensive rebounding percentage (24.1%), 27th in field goal percentage defense (36.5%), 20th in two-point defense (41%) and 70th in three-point defense (28.3%) this season. Texas is 182nd in adjusted tempo with 70 possessions per contest. Chaminade has no problem pushing the tempo and we saw them pile up points against Washington State. The flip side is that they are no stranger to giving up points either. Look for this game to wind up over the number.
