Blyden tallies 16.2 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per game, while junior guard Sonny Wilson notches 17.2 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.5 boards a night. The Rockets are 6-5 in conference play and No. 172 in the NCAA NET Rankings. They score 111.6 points per 100 possessions (121st in the nation) and allow 111.6 points in return (242nd).

Western Michigan is on a three-game slide                                               

The Western Michigan Broncos (8-15; 12-9 ATS; 12-9 O/U) have only won one of their previous seven games overall (3-4 ATS) and are winless in three straight outings (0-3 ATS). During that three-game stretch, the Broncos have suffered defeats at Northern Illinois 85-65, Ohio 91-71, and Texas State 77-61.

Western Michigan is coming off Saturday’s non-conference battle against Texas State. The Broncos failed to cover a 6.5-point spread, making just 40.0% of their field goals (8-for-22 from deep). Junior guard Trey Lewis led the charge for Western Michigan with 19 points off the bench.

Junior guard Jalen Griffith posts 13.5 points and 3.9 assists per game, while senior guard Jayden Brewer averages 13.0 points and 6.8 boards. The Broncos are one of the worst defensive teams in the country. In conference play, the Broncos surrender a whopping 121.5 points per 100 possessions. The Rockets are not a great defensive team by any stretch of the imagination, but they allow 112.0 points per 100 possessions in conference play while forcing way more turnovers than Western Michigan.

I think the Rockets will score enough to beat the number in this game. They have a great backcourt duo in Sonny Wilson and Leroy Blyden, and these two guys should torture the Broncos. Blyden dropped 36 points on Western Michigan in their first meeting of the season.

Although neither side plays at a fast pace, I have to take the over. The Broncos’ defense has been awful thus far, and the Rockets are a solid offensive team. The over is 10-4 in Western Michigan’s last 14 games overall.
