Colorado State Closes Out Season
It has been a disappointing season for the Colorado State Rams. The team got off to a 2-5 start, and that cost head coach Jay Norvell his job on October 19th. Defensive coordinator Tyson Summers has taken over the job on an interim basis. The team is 0-4 with him at the helm, including a 49-21 loss at Boise State last Saturday.
On Wednesday, reports are coming out that UConn coach Jim Mora is going to be the next head at Colorado State in 2026.
Quarterback Darius Curry, the team’s third starting quarterback this season, finished the game 26-of-46 for 293 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw three interceptions in the contest. Tight end Rocky Beers had seven catches for 94 yards and a touchdown. Tay Lanier also added a touchdown grab. In all, the Rams had 332 yards of total offense, including just 39 yards rushing.

Air Force at Colorado State
Point Spread pick for Air Force vs. Colorado State
- Air Force -2.5 (4 units)
Last season, the Rams ended a seven-game losing streak to the Falcons with a win on the road. This year, however, the Rams are in too much disarray to pull off a repeat performance. The team is 0-4 since firing its head coach. The Rams also have one of the worst run defenses in the country, ranked 130th in the nation. That plays right into the hands of an Air Force team that thrives on running the football. Air Force ranks 33rd in the country in rushing. The Falcons are also a respectable 64th in the nation in scoring, while the Rams are just 122nd. Colorado State is on its third different quarterback this season, and that has reflected in the team’s output. Simply put, the Rams won’t be able to keep pace offensively in this game, and the disciplined Air Force squad will control the tempo and time of possession with their ground attack to win their 8th in the last 9 meetings with Colorado State.
Take the Falcons -2.5
Over/Under Pick for Air Force vs. Colorado State
- Under 44.5 (4 units)
The Air Force ground attack should be able to consistently make strides against a shaky Rams’ run defense. That, in turn, will slow down this game and give a major edge in time of possession to Air Force. The last three meetings between these two rivals have gone under the number as well, with familiarity favoring both defenses. That trend will continue on Friday.
Take the under.
