Central Michigan vs. Kent State Pick
Spread Pick for Central Michigan vs. Kent State
- Central Michigan -8 (4 units)
Kent State picked up the win over Akron last week, but it’s tough to have a ton of faith in a team ranked in the bottom 10 in the FBS in scoring defense. The Golden Flashes are below average moving the ball through the air and they are dismal running the ball, ranking fifth-worst in the FBS. Central Michigan has a decent run game to lean on and they have been opportunistic on the defensive side of the ball. The Chippewas have recorded 18 takeaways and stand a +8 in the takeaway/giveaway department, while Kent State is -2 in that department. Central Michigan isn’t a great road team, but they are capable of generating takeaways against a weak Golden Flashes squad to pick up the win here.
Over/Under Pick for Central Michigan vs. Kent State
- Over 47.5 (4 units)
Central Michigan has gone over the number in seven of their 10 games on the year. The Chippewas have gone over the number in four of their six road contests on the year, including two of their three road conference tilts. Kent State has split their 10 games on the year in relation to the total. The Golden Flashes have stayed under the number in three of their four home games on the year, though a pair of those games fell 2.5 and three points short of the mark, respectively. Seven of the last 10 meetings, including the last three, have gone over the number. Look for Central Michigan to do enough to help push this game over the number.
