Washington State Hoping to Prevail at Home

Washington State comes in off a bye as they try to rebound from the loss to Oregon State in a matchup of the two remaining Pac-12 foes. The Cougars dropped to 4-5 overall and stand 0-1 in Pac-12 play as they try to get back to the .500 mark on the season. Against Oregon State, Washington State was in a rock fight as the game was scoreless after the opening quarter. The Cougars took a 7-3 lead in the final minute of the first half and maintained that edge after three quarters before giving up the go-ahead score in the fourth quarter to wind up with the loss. The Cougars owned a 271-184 advantage in total offense, picked up 16 first downs while allowing 15, lost time of possession by a 31:12 to 28:48 margin and committed the gameโ€™s two turnovers.

Louisiana Tech vs. Washington State Pick

Spread Pick for Louisiana Tech vs. Washington State

  • Washington State -7.5 (4 units)

Louisiana Tech has struggled on the road this season, posting a 1-3 mark as the visiting team on the year. That includes their meltdown last week against Delaware as they gave up nine points in the final 34 seconds. The Bulldogs now have to make the long trek to the Palouse to face a Cougars team that has won three of four at home, including a whipping of a pretty good San Diego State squad back in September. Louisiana Tech lost their starting QB last week, and the Kukuk/Bullock duo has been less than inspiring when it comes to doing damage through the air. Seeing how the Bulldogs are likely to take a step back here offensively without Baker, look for the Cougars to earn a victory here.

Over/Under Pick for Louisiana Tech vs. Washington State

  • Under 45.5 (4 units)

Louisiana Tech has seen the under hit in six of their nine games on the year. The Bulldogs have stayed under the number in all four of their road games this season. Louisiana Tech has been very good on the defensive side of the ball, having allowed more than 23 points just three times this season. Washington State enters this game having stayed under the mark in six of their nine games on the year. The Cougars have logged five straight unders and havenโ€™t even threatened the number, staying under the mark by at least 10 points in each of those contests. As a result, take the under in this contest.
