NC State had a bye last week and comes in with three losses in their previous four games as they were clubbed by #16 Notre Dame in their previous contest on October 11. Panthers Seek to Keep Rolling
Pitt won their third straight game as they went on the road and took down Syracuse last week. The Panthers improved to 5-2 overall on the year and stand tied for fourth in the ACC with a 3-1 mark in conference play. Against Syracuse, Pitt was even at seven after the opening quarter and led just 10-7 just before the half, before Kenny Johnson returned a punt 66 yards for a score with two seconds to play. That gave Pitt a 17-7 lead at the half and never let Syracuse closer than that the rest of the way. The Panthers held a 255-212 advantage in total offense, recorded 16 first downs while allowing 13 and forced three turnovers while committing one to offset a 30:02 to 29:58 disadvantage in time of possession in the game.
