The Seahawks are 3-2, and they are coming off of crushing loss to Tampa Bay, where a late turnover gave the game away. The Jaguars enjoyed a big win thanks to a heroic rushing touchdown by Trevor Lawrence over the Chiefs on Monday Night Football. These two teams will meet on Sunday, Oct. 12, with kick-off set for 1 P.M. EST.

Seattle stumbles late against Tampa Bay

Seattle is 3-2 overall this season. The Seahawks opened the season with a 17-13 loss to the 49ers. They followed with three straight wins as they defeated the Steelers, New Orleans and Arizona during that stretch.

In their latest game, the Seahawks lost 38-35 to the Buccaneers on Sunday, Oct. 5. It was a big loss to the Seahawks, who were close to sealing a win. A late interception from quarterback Sam Darnold allowed the Buccaneers to earn the game-winning field goal.

“It hurts. It stings,” Seattle head coach Mike Macdonald said. “It should, because our guys work extremely hard and they care. But we’re going to use this to move forward and that’s the only thing we can do. We’re going to take it on the chin and move forward...and move on and grow and go get ready to play our best game against Jacksonville. It’s that simple. Offense played great. Special teams played great. I’m sure there are things on that end, too, with penalties we got to fix.”

Trevor Lawrence stumbled and picked himself up to find the end zone on a 1-yard rushing score in the final seconds to seal the win.

"It's a goofy finish, but what a tough moment for him to be able to say he wasn't going to lose, and that's kind of really what it comes down to," Jaguars head coach Liam Coen said. Seahawks vs Jaguars Picks

Spread Pick for Seattle Seahawks vs Jacksonville Jaguars

  • Jacksonville Jaguars -1 (5 units)

It was crazy to finish Monday Night Football for the Jaguars as they somehow earned a big home win. They will have the momentum riding into this week despite being on a short week. Trevor Lawrence and Seattle’s Sam Darnold have both been great this season, but there’s one big difference that is going to shape this game.

Darnold is turning the ball over too many times and it’s coming at horrible times for the Seahawks. His late turnover helped Tampa Bay win last week. The Jaguars' defense has been fantastic at forcing turnovers. They have forced 14 turnovers on the year, with 10 of them being interceptions. Jacksonville's defense can get the stops and force extra possessions; they will come away with another big win as they push for the divisional title.

Take Jacksonville to cover.

Seahawks vs Jaguars Over/Under Pick

  • Over 47.5 (5 Units)

Both teams have great records, and it’s thanks to their strong quarterback play and moves made by their big time receivers. Jaxon Smith-Njigba continues to be a No. 1 wideout for the Seahawks, while Brian Thomas Jr. is also making impressive impacts for the Jaguars. These two players will be big in scoring touchdowns and allowing for a high-scoring game that will emphasize the passing game. The over is 3-1 when the total has been set at 45 or higher for Jaguars games. The over is also 3-2 in Seattle games.

Take the over on Sunday.
