Red Raiders push for first-ever playoff spot
Texas Tech (10-1 SU, 9-2 ATS, and 5-6 O/U) beat UCF 48-9 in its last game, covering the spread as 24-point favorites.
TTU dominated UCF, outgaining the Knights 499-230 and forcing two turnovers. The Red Raiders were well-balanced offensively, rushing for 205 yards and passing for nearly 300, overwhelming the visitors from the opening kick. Texas Tech led 38-2 at the half and cruised to the win.
Freshman QB Behren Morton paces the fifth-ranked Red Raiders with 2,118 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and only four picks. His top receiving options are senior WR Caleb Douglas (48 receptions for 696 yards and five TDs) and senior WR Reggie Virgil (45 receptions for 561 yards and six TDs). The Texas Tech run game is led by sophomore RB Cameron Dickey (168 carries for 944 yards and 13 scores).
The Red Raiders score 42.6 points per game (7th) and average 481.6 total yards (18th), including 287.5 passing yards (26th) and 194.1 rushing yards (37th). Texas Tech's defense allows 12.3 points (3rd) and 266.1 total yards (4th) per game, including 194.3 passing yards (25th) and 71.8 rushing yards (1st).

Moutnaineers are trying to play spoiler
West Virginia (4-7 SU, 7-4 ATS, and 5-5-1 O/U) lost 25-23 to Arizona State in its last game, covering as ten-point spread underdogs.
WVU battled to extend its two-game winning streak, but came up just short in Tempe. The Mountaineers trailed 22-10 at halftime, but battled back with 13 fourth-quarter points to nearly win. They outgained the Sun Devils by almost 100 yards, averaging 11.4 yards per pass, but couldn't move the chains on the ground (39 carries for 68 yards).
Freshman QB Scotty Fox Jr. leads the Mountaineers' passing game with 1,178 passing yards, seven touchdowns, and five picks. His top receiving options are sophomore WR Cam Vaughn (33 receptions for 541 yards and four TDs) and senior WR Jeff Weimer (15 receptions for 306 yards and two TDs). The WVU run game is led by freshman RB Diore Hubbard (96 carries for 335 yards and four TDs).
The Mountaineers score 23.7 points per game (110th) and average 364.9 total yards (102nd), including 193.1 passing yards (112th) and 171.8 rushing yards (65th). West Virginia's defense allows 29.2 points (89th) and 394.4 total yards (69th) per game, including 254.6 passing yards (98th) and 139.7 rushing yards (42nd).
West Virginia Mountaineers Football Injury Report:

Texas Tech vs. West Virginia Pick and Preview
Spread Pick for Texas Tech vs. West Virginia
- Mountaineers +23.5 (4 Units)
I'm not convinced the Red Raiders will keep their foot on the pedal long enough to cover the spread. WVU has covered in four straight and five of its previous six games, as it's either won or kept the final margin within two touchdowns in those five games. The Mountaineers' passing game looked sharp last week (353 yards), which makes them more dynamic, considering that they rely on big, explosive running plays. In the final game of the season, WVU will be loose and competitive at home, scoring on its first two drives. They'll do enough to cover on Saturday.
Over/Under Pick for Texas Tech vs. West Virginia
- Over 54 (4 Units)
The over is 5-1-1 in West Virginia's last seven games and has covered in two of TTU's last three. These teams can score in bunches, and neither team will hold anything back offensively, with WVU playing its last game and Texas Tech looking for style points to strengthen its CFP resume. With Morton probable, the Red Raiders will push the ball down the field early and often against the Mountaineers' below-average pass defense, while West Virginia will have its fair share of explosive plays.
