Virginia Tech vs. Florida State Prediction
Spread Pick for Virginia Tech vs. FSU
- Florida State -13.5 (4 units)
Both teams have been disappointing this season. Virginia Tech fired Brent Pry after a 0-3 start to the year and has split six games under Philip Montgomery. Florida State opened the year with a home win over Alabama, which hasnโt lost since, and sits a game below the .500 mark on the season. The Seminoles are at home here, where they are 4-2 on the season, including that win over the Crimson Tide. Virginia Tech is just 1-1 on the road on the year, with a win over NC State and a loss to Georgia Tech. The Hokies are just 2-7 ATS this season and their offense has been unimpressive on the year. Look for Florida State to come up with the home win with an emphatic victory.
Over/Under Pick for Va. Tech vs. FSU
- Under 55.5 (4 units)
Virginia Tech has stayed under the number in five of their nine games on the year entering this contest. The Hokies are below average in scoring offense on the year. They have scored 20 points or fewer four times this year and 23 points in two other contests. Florida Stateโs defense has been solid, even with its recent slide as they have allowed 20 points or fewer in five of their nine games on the year. The Seminoles have been good offensively, scoring at least 31 points in five of their six home games but lighting up Kent State and Texas A&M-Commerce doesnโt translate to scorching an ACC program, even a mediocre one. Look for the Seminoles to put up some points but this game still winds up short of the number.
