Wyoming vs. Fresno State Picks and Prediction for Saturday, November 15, 2025
Use Code WWWC Wyoming Cowboys (4-5) vs. Fresno State Bulldogs (6-3)
Week 12 of the 2025 college football season is upon us, and Saturday brings plenty of interesting games, including the Mountain West Conference showdown at Valley Children’s Stadium in Fresno, CA, so we have prepared the Wyoming vs. Fresno State prediction to get you covered.
The Cowboys meet the Bulldogs for the first time since October 7, 2023, when Wyoming outlasted Fresno State 24-19 at home. Wyoming is just 1-4 SU and ATS in its previous five dates with Fresno State, and four of those five tilts have gone under the total.
Let’s take a closer look at this Wyoming vs. Fresno State prediction, one of our NCAAF picks for Week 12. The Bulldogs are 3.5-point home favorites with a total of 40.5 points, and the kick-off is set at 10:30 PM ET.
Wyoming leans on its defense
The Wyoming Cowboys (4-5; 5-4 ATS; 2-7 O/U) are coming off a bye. They’ve lost two of their previous three games, sandwiching a 28-0 home victory to Colorado State with a couple of road defeats against Air Force 24-21 and San Diego State 24-7.

The Cowboys visited San Diego State in Week 10 and racked up just 185 total yards. Wyoming lost the turnover battle 4-2, and sophomore signal-caller Kaden Anderson completed only 12 of his 24 passing attempts while tossing for 93 yards and three interceptions.
"I thought defensively we did what we needed to do to win the game, to give us a chance to win the game," Wyoming coach Jay Sawvel said. "We made too many mistakes offensively, and that's kind of where we're at, and it's a frustrating thing."
The Cowboys’ offense has struggled for most of the season. Wyoming tallies just 19.4 points per game (tied for 122nd in the nation) on 149.7 rushing yards (79th) and 196.1 passing yards (101st). Anderson has thrown for 1,727 yards, 11 touchdowns, and nine interceptions this season, while running backs Samuel Harris, Sam Scott, and Terron Kellman have combined for 1,124 rushing yards and eight scores.
Wyoming’s defense has done a great job thus far. The Cowboys allow 20.2 points per game (30th) on 163.1 rushing yards (95th) and 184.9 passing yards (26th). Just 14 teams in the country have allowed fewer red-zone attempts than Wyoming.
Fresno State hopes to stay on track
The Fresno State Bulldogs (6-3; 4-5 ATS; 4-5 O/U) are coming off a bye, too. Unlike their next rival, the Bulldogs are 3-2 in conference play and pretty much alive in the race for the MWC title game. Two weeks ago, the Bulldogs snapped a two-game skid. After consecutive defeats versus Colorado State 49-21 and San Diego State 23-0, Fresno State stunned Boise State 30-7 in Week 10.
The Bulldogs took full advantage of Maddux Madsen’s injury, beating Boise State as 17.5-point road underdogs. Fresno State outgained the Broncos 224-193 in total yards and won the turnover battle 3-0. The Bulldogs rushed 47 times for 189 yards and three touchdowns, while sophomore QB Carson Conklin went 10-of-21 for a paltry 35 yards.
“It was good to see that we were able to line up and go toe-to-toe and be the more physical team,” Fresno State coach Matt Entz said. “We made some big plays when we needed to. Now, we have three great opportunities ahead of us.”
Entz benched senior QB E.J. Warner after a heavy loss at Colorado State and turned to Conklin, who threw for 182 yards and two interceptions in that ugly performance against San Diego State. The Bulldogs lean on their ground game. Running backs Bryson Donelson and Rayshon Luke have combined for 1,242 yards from scrimmage and 11 touchdowns this season.
The Bulldogs score 26.1 points per game (tied for 78th in the country) and allow 21.8 points in return (tied for 43rd). Their defense is 41st in rushing yards (127.7 per game) and 16th in passing yards (16th). Just six teams in the nation have intercepted more passes than Fresno State (12).
Wyoming vs. Fresno State Pick
Spread Pick for Wyoming vs. Fresno State
- Fresno State -3.5 (5 units)
Both teams defend against passing at a high level. They will pound the rock all night when Fresno State hosts Wyoming, and the Bulldogs should be more successful than the Cowboys.
Frankly, I don’t feel comfortable with a 3.5-point spread. It’s hard to trust the Bulldogs’ offense. But you cannot trust the Cowboys’ offense either. Kaden Anderson has been picked off six times over his last four games, and he’ll add to that tally in Week 12.
The Cowboys allow 4.5 yards per carry. The Bulldogs should find a way to move the chains and outscore Wyoming by more than a field goal.
Over/Under Pick for Wyoming vs. Fresno State
- Under 40.5 (5 units)
The bookies expect a proper low-scoring affair, and I cannot argue about that. Both teams lean on a stout defense while struggling to score. Against each other, they will rush a lot and eat the clock, so give me the under on the total.
The betting trends suggest the under, too. The under is 10-2 in Wyoming’s last 12 games overall, and it is 4-1 in Fresno State’s previous five. Also, the under is 4-0-1 in the last five encounters between these two schools.
