On Monday, the Chicago Cubs (81-61, 2nd NL Central) play game 1 of a three-game series on the road against the Atlanta Braves (64-78). Chicago lost to the Washington Nationals 2-1 on Saturday and has lost two of the last three. The Cubs trail first-place Milwaukee in the National League Central by 6.5 games and currently hold the first of three NL wild card qualifying places. Atlanta lost to the Seattle Mariners 10-2 on Saturday, snapping a two-game winning streak by the Braves. Atlanta trails first place in the NL East by 19 games and is 12 games behind the third and final NL wild card qualifying place with just 20 games remaining.
