On Friday, the Colorado Rockies (40-106, 5th NL West) play game two of a four-game series on the road in Southern California versus the San Diego Padres (79-67, 2nd NL West). Colorado lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers 9-0 on Wednesday and was swept in its three-game series with LA. The Rockies have lost five straight and have been eliminated from playoff contention. San Diego lost to the Cincinnati Reds 2-1 on Wednesday. San Diego lost two out of three to Cincinnati. The Padres trail first-place Los Angeles by three games in the NL West and currently hold the second of three NL wild card places. Colorado will play without seven pitchers as well as position players Warming Bernabel, Kris Bryant, and Thairo Estrada. San Diego will play without five pitchers and shortstop Xander Bogaerts. Colorado is poor at the plate and even worse on the mound
