Los Angeles Dodgers vs Atlanta Braves NLDS Game 4 Picks, Prediction, Odds, and Line Movement for Wednesday October 7 2026

By: Alex MacMillan Published 10/07/2026, 10:21 AM ET

Atlanta has moved from a favorite in the previous matchup to a sizeable home underdog Wednesday, and that price shift changes the betting case dramatically. The Dodgers are -144, the Braves are +132 and the total is 7.5, with Tyler Glasnow scheduled to face Tyler Mahle.

Los Angeles owns the better straight-up road record, but its betting return has not matched those wins. Atlanta, meanwhile, has remained profitable at home and now gets a much more forgiving price than it did a day earlier. For the rest of Wednesday's postseason card, see our MLB picks and predictions coverage.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs Atlanta Braves Division Series Preview

Atlanta is 54-31 at home on the moneyline for +8.80 units, a +6.82% return. A bettor risking $100 on every Braves home moneyline would be up approximately $880, which becomes especially relevant when Atlanta is now being offered at +132 rather than laying a favorite's price.

Los Angeles has been excellent away from home in straight-up terms. The Dodgers are 50-32 on the road, but those games have still resulted in a 1.70-unit loss. That is a useful reminder that a strong record does not automatically make a team profitable when the market consistently attaches expensive prices.

The first-five results create additional separation. Atlanta is 48-37 on the first-five run line at home for +9.25 units and a +9.45% return. The Dodgers are 44-38 on the road in that market but still slightly negative at -0.65 units.

Glasnow and Mahle are not separated by an overwhelming amount on the current board. Glasnow is listed at 3.53 and Mahle at 3.87, so Los Angeles owns the better starting-pitcher number without having such a large advantage that -144 becomes an obvious price to lay.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs Atlanta Braves Odds and Line Movement

The biggest change is Atlanta's price. The Braves have moved from being a short favorite on the previous board to +132, producing an entirely different risk-reward equation.

That larger payout fits well with the Division Series underdog results. Since 2022, underdogs in this round are 37-37 for +10.97 units and a +14.82% return. A $100 bettor would be up about $1,097 despite the teams winning exactly half their games.

The total is less interesting. Division Series games lined at 7.5 are 40-34 to the Under, but the financial result is essentially flat at +0.19 units. That makes Under 7.5 more of a matchup-specific lean than a historical trend worth following on its own.

The first-five side is more appealing. Atlanta's profitable home first-five profile and Los Angeles' slightly negative road return suggest the Braves can remain competitive through the early innings, which supports the full-game underdog thesis.

Run Scored in the First Inning

A run scored in the first inning is the secondary opening-frame direction. Division Series games are 39-37 in favor of an early run since 2022, returning +4.07 units.

Glasnow and Mahle are both capable of clean starts, so this should not be treated as an aggressive play merely because the historical record leans toward scoring. The value comes from the combination of that trend and a total of 7.5, which leaves more room for an early run than Tuesday's extremely compressed total did.

A first-inning run also does not require the full game to go Over. One early score can still be followed by several quiet innings, particularly if the starters settle in.

Separate hitter and pitcher markets are available in our MLB player props coverage.

Best Bet - Atlanta Braves ML (+132)

Atlanta +132 is the Best Bet because the current number gives bettors meaningful underdog compensation on a team that has already been profitable at home. The Braves are 54-31 in Atlanta for +8.80 units, while Los Angeles has lost money on the road despite winning 50 games.

Glasnow gives the Dodgers a pitching advantage, but the margin is not wide enough to make -144 attractive when Atlanta is returning +132. The Braves also bring the better home first-five betting profile into the matchup.

Atlanta remains playable at +120 or better. If the number contracts materially below that threshold, the value becomes less compelling.
