Brewers vs. Pirates Pick
Spread Pick for Brewers vs. Pirates
- Milwaukee Brewers (4 units)
Sure, Pittsburgh has been hot the last couple of weeks but the fact remains that the team is still 13 games below .500 and out of the NL Central chase. The Pirates have sputtered against Milwaukee this season and the Brewers are an explosive offensive team on the road. Oviedo may be 2-0 on the year but he is hardly overpowering at this stage of his career. Priester, despite not factoring in the decision in his last three starts, has been a major key to the Brewers’ success this season. The Brewers are primed to bounce back after falling Thursday. Look for the bats to break out in a big way to deliver a victory.
Over/Under pick for Brewers vs. Pirates
- Over (4 units)
Milwaukee has seen the under post a 64-59-3 mark in their 126 games in relation to the total this season entering Friday. The Brewers are 3rd in the majors in runs per game with 5.09 and that number climbs to 5.59 runs per game on the road. Milwaukee has seen an average total of 9.02 runs per game this season and that number climbs to 9.66 runs per game away from American Family Field on the year. Pittsburgh has seen the under post a 77-56-5 mark on the year heading into Monday night’s action. The Pirates are 30th in the majors with 3.67 runs per game and that number climbs to 3.99 runs per game at PNC Park. Pittsburgh has an average total of 7.72 runs per game but that number slips to 7.60 runs per game at home. With Pittsburgh struggling offensively, the Brewers do the heavy lifting to push this over the number.
