Detroit Tigers ML (4 units)
Monday’s opener was a slugfest as the teams combined for 18 runs in a Mets’ triumph. The pitching matchup for this contest you would have to lean to the Tigers here as Mize was pitching well prior to getting roughed up in Sacramento in his last outing. Mize is 7-1 with a 3.61 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP over 57.1 innings of work in 11 starts at Comerica Park this season. Holmes won two of his last three starts but he’s increasingly become a five-and-dive guy. In eight of his last 10 starts, he has gone five innings or less in eight of them and went just 5.1 innings in one of the others. Look for the Tigers to find a way to claw their way to a victory here on getaway day.
