Chicago Bulls (6-5) vs. Utah Jazz (4-8)

The 2025-26 NBA season continues Sunday, November 16, with eight games around the Association, including the cross-conference clash at Delta Center in Salt Lake City, UT, so we’ve got the Bulls vs. Jazz prediction.

Chicago and Utah lock horns for the first time this term. They split a two-game set last season, with each team emerging victorious on the road. The Jazz beat the Bulls 135-126, and Chicago responded with a 111-97 victory at Delta Center.

The Bulls came down to earth

The Chicago Bulls (6-5; 8-3 ATS; 7-4 O/U) opened the season with a five-game winning streak. Since then, the Bulls have gone 1-5 SU and 3-3 ATS. They are winless in four straight outings. The Bulls have allowed at least 121 points in each of those four games.

Chicago is coming off Wednesday’s 124-113 defeat at the injury-depleted Detroit Pistons. The Bulls were listed as 3.5-point road favorites. However, they committed 21 turnovers and couldn’t stop anything, allowing 66 points in the paint.

Matas Buzelis posted a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds last Wednesday. Nikola Vucevic had just six points and six rebounds in 25 minutes on the floor, while Josh Giddey missed his second straight game with an ankle injury.

Giddey practiced on Saturday, so he should return to the lineup against Utah. The 23-year-old guard has been outstanding through nine appearances this season, averaging 21.4 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 9.3 assists. He’s a key player for the Bulls, who are 18th in the NBA in adjusted offensive efficiency (116.2 points per 100 possessions) and 19th in adjusted defensive efficiency (116.4).

Key Injury Report for Bulls

  • F Zach Collins (wrist) is out
  • G Cobhy White (calf) is questionable.

The Jazz need more from their defense

The Utah Jazz (4-8; 7-5 ATS; 6-6 O/U) have dropped four of their previous five games overall while going 2-3 against the number. After stopping a three-game slide with a 152-128 victory to the lowly Indiana Pacers, the Jazz lost to the Atlanta Hawks 132-122 this past Thursday.

The Jazz committed a staggering 24 turnovers against the Hawks. Utah scored just 19 points in the fourth quarter, while Atlanta hit 24 of its 47 shots from deep on the night. The Jazz have allowed at least 120 points in four straight outings.

Lauri Markkanen dropped 40 points on the Hawks after scoring 35 against the Pacers. He tallies 29.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game this season. Walker Kessler (14.4 PPG, 10.8 RPG) is done for the season with a shoulder injury, and rookie Ace Bailey scores just 8.7 points a night.

Keyonte George drives Utah’s offense, averaging 21.3 points and 7.1 assists. The Jazz score 114.3 points per 100 possessions (21st in the NBA) and surrender 119.6 points in return (25th). They allow 15.3 triples per 100 possessions (tied for 28th) on a 36.5 percentage clip (tied for 19th).

Key Injury Report for Jazz:

  • C Walker Kessler (shoulder surgery) is out for the season.
  • F Kyler Anderson (back) is questionable
  • F Georges Niang (foot) is out.

Bulls vs. Jazz Pick

Spread Pick for Bulls vs. Jazz

  • Chicago Bulls (4 units)

There are some moving parts in this matchup, so you have to track the injury news. I expect Josh Giddey to suit up. The Bulls desperately need their best players on the floor, especially in a matchup against Utah’s defense.

Moreover, Coby White (calf) also practiced with the team on Saturday, so he could make his season debut at Delta Center. White was scoring 20.4 points per game in 2024-25.

I’m going with the Bulls, who make 39.6% of their shots from beyond the arc this season (4th in the NBA). The Bulls are not a great defensive team by any stretch of the imagination, but they allow just 11.8 triples per 100 possessions (5th) on a 35.7 percentage clip (15th).

Over/Under Pick for Bulls vs. Jazz

  • Over (4 units)

The Jazz are eighth in the NBA in 3-point rate (.451). Their defense has been pretty bad thus far, and the Bulls’ D hasn’t impressed over the last few games, so give me the over on the total.

Both teams rank in the top half of the league in pace. Utah loves to crush the offensive board (2nd in the offensive rebound percentage, 32.0%), though Chicago is fifth in defensive rebound percentage (76.3%).

The over is 7-2 in the Bulls’ last nine games overall and 10-3 in their previous 13 showings on the road. Also, nine of Utah’s last 10 home games have gone over the total.
