Celtics vs. Timberwolves Pick
Celtics vs. Timberwolves Spread Pick
- Timberwolves -6.5 (4 units)
Boston has been hot of late, while Minnesota has dropped three straight games entering this contest. With that in mind, the Celtics are 4-4 on the road and two of those wins came over the doormats that are the Nets and Pelicans. We also don’t know for certain that Brown will play here, which would take the Celtics’ leading scorer out of the mix. Minnesota returns home after a tough road swing that saw them lose to Phoenix, Sacramento and Oklahoma City by a combined 14 points. The Timberwolves own a better point differential at home (+8.5 ppg) than they do on the road (+1.6 ppg) this season. Minnesota is healthy, and that, coupled with home court advantage, gives them the nod here.
Celtics vs. Timberwolves Over/Under Pick
- Under 227.5 (4 units)
Boston comes into this game having stayed under the total in 11 of their 18 games on the year. The Celtics are 22nd in the league in points per game, 5th in offensive efficiency and 30th in terms of pace with 96 possessions per game on the year. Minnesota has seen the under hit in 10 of their first 18 games on the season. The Timberwolves enter this game 10th in scoring offense, 11th in offensive efficiency and 13th in tempo with an average of 100.5 possessions per contest this season. We’re looking at a pair of teams that are in the top 10 in the league in scoring defense. Look for this game to wind up falling short of the number as the defenses step up to the challenge.
