Chicago Bulls (6-1) vs. Milwaukee Bucks (5-3)

The 2025 Emirates NBA Cup betting action goes on Friday, November 7, and in this preview, we are breaking down the East Group C battle from Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, WI, to get you the Bulls vs. Bucks prediction.

Chicago meets Milwaukee for the first time this season. They split a four-game set in 2024-25, with each team covering the spread on two occasions.

Let’s take a closer look at this Bulls vs. Bucks prediction, one of our NBA picks for Friday’s 11-game card. The Bucks are 4-point home favorites with a total of 240.0 points, and the tip-off is set at 8:00 PM ET.

The Bulls are off to a strong start

The Chicago Bulls are one of the pleasant surprises of the young season. They’ve gone 6-1 SU and ATS thus far, and four of their first seven games have gone over the total.

The Bulls started their NBA Cup campaign last Friday, beating the New York Knicks 135-125 at home. Two days later, the Knicks got revenge, beating the Bulls 128-116 in New York. The Bulls returned to winning ways last Tuesday, outlasting the Philadelphia 76ers 113-111 as 1.5-point home favorites.

Josh Giddey posted his second triple-double of the season last Tuesday, notching 29 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 assists. Nikola Vucevic scored 19 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer with 3.2 seconds remaining, and Isaac Okoro had 16 points and five assists.

The Bulls score 118.6 points per 100 possessions (8th in the NBA) and allow 113.8 points in return (12th). They rank eighth in the league in defensive rebound percentage (76.2%). Chicago makes 40.3% of its 3-pointers (3rd) while handing out 29.6 assists per game (also 3rd).

The Bucks need more from their defense

The Milwaukee Bucks (5-3; 5-3 ATS; 5-3 O/U) have won four of their first five games in 2025-26. Since then, the Bucks have gone 1-2 SU and 0-3 ATS, sandwiching a 117-115 victory over the Indiana Pacers with a couple of losses against the Sacramento Kings, 135-133, and the Toronto Raptors, 128-100.

Milwaukee will start its NBA Cup campaign on Friday. Last Tuesday, the Bucks were embarrassed by the Raptors. Milwaukee shot just 43.0% from the field (11-for-38 from downtown) while playing lousy defense. Toronto hit 17 triples and committed just 10 turnovers.

Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped 22 points on Toronto, and he’s now averaging 32.3 points and 12.6 rebounds on the young season. Kyla Kuzma scored 18 points on 7-for-14 shooting from the field, while Cole Anthony had 12 points and four assists.

The Bucks score 117.6 points per 100 possessions (12th in the NBA) and surrender 116.8 points in return (tied for 19th). They are 15th in the league in defensive rebound percentage (73.4%), sixth in 3-point percentage (39.5%), and 13th in assists per game (26.6).

Bulls vs. Bucks Pick

Spread Pick for Bulls vs. Bucks

  • Chicago Bulls +4.0 (5 units)

The Bulls will struggle to contain Giannis Antetokounmpo, but Chicago’s backcourt could easily make a difference in this game. Milwaukee arguably lacks weapons in the backcourt, leaning on Ryan Rollins (16.3 PPG, 5.6 APG) and Cole Anthony (11.1 PPG, 5.1 APG) to drive its offense.

Chicago loves to share the ball, and the Bulls’ defense has been surprisingly solid thus far. The Bulls allow just 11.0 3-pointers per game (2nd in the NBA) on a 34.2 percentage clip (7th). Hereof, I’m backing the Bulls to keep it close against the Bucks and beat the number.

Over/Under Pick for Bulls vs. Bucks

  • Under 240.0 (5 units)

Neither side plays at a slow pace, but I think that the line has been set pretty high. The Bucks have to tighten things up. They cannot allow the Bulls to share the ball and find the open shot on every other possession.

On the other side, the Bulls will try their best to slow down Milwaukee’s 3-point shooting. The Bucks are ninth in the league in 3-point rate (.450), but they rank 25th in free-throw rate (.262) and 28th in offensive rebound percentage (19.9%).

I expect fewer than 240 points in this game. The under has hit in four of the previous five encounters between Chicago and Milwaukee.
