Chicago Bulls vs. Portland Trail Blazers Picks and Prediction for Wednesday, November 19, 2025
Chicago Bulls (7-6) vs. Portland Trail Blazers (6-7)
The 2025-26 NBA season goes on Wednesday, November 19, with the Chicago Bulls taking on the Portland Trail Blazers in the cross-conference battle at Moda Center in Portland, OR, so here’s our Bulls vs. Trail Blazers prediction.
Chicago meets Portland for the first time this season. They split a two-game set in 2024-25, with each team grabbing a win at home. Portland beat Chicago 113-102, and the Bulls responded with a 118-113 victory.
Now, let’s take a closer look at this Bulls vs. Blazers prediction, one of our NBA picks for Wednesday’s slate. The tip-off at Moda Center is set at 10:00 PM ET. Tuesday’s games have been excluded from the analysis, and the Trail Blazers hosted the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night.

The Bulls stunned the Nuggets to break out of their funk
The Chicago Bulls put an end to their five-game losing streak this past Monday. After a heartbreaking 150-147 double-overtime defeat at the Utah Jazz on Sunday, the Bulls beat the Denver Nuggets 130-127 as 13.5-point road underdogs.
Josh Giddey tortured Denver for 21 points, 14 rebounds, and six assists. But the Bulls’ second unit was a key factor, dropping 66 points on the Nuggets. Ayo Dosunmu had 21 points and five assists, and Jalen Smith added 16 points and eight rebounds.
It was another bad defensive display from the Bulls, who forced the Nuggets into just eight turnovers. Chicago allows 117.4 points per 100 possessions (tied for 20th in the NBA), and the Bulls are dead last in the league in defensive turnover percentage (10.2).
Key Injury Report for Bulls:
- F Zach Collins (wrist) is out
The Trail Blazers need more from their defense, too
The Portland Trail Blazers were looking to snap a two-game skid on Tuesday night. In their previous two outings, the Blazers have allowed a whopping 278 points, finishing a five-game road trip with a couple of losses against the Houston Rockets 140-116 and the Dallas Mavericks 138-133.
Portland committed 14 more turnovers than Houston (20-6) and allowed 17 triples to the Rockets. Against Dallas, the Trail Blazers posted a solid 26/12 assist-to-turnover ratio, but they shot just 40.7% from the field (14-for-47 from deep). Shaedon Sharpe scored a season-high 36 points against the Mavs.
The Trail Blazers surrender 118.0 points per 100 possessions (22nd in the NBA) on 56.7% shooting from inside the arc (tied for 23rd) and 35.8% from downtown (14th). They are 27th in the league in defensive rebound percentage (70.4%) and sixth in defensive turnover percentage (14.6%).\
Key Injury Report for Portland:
- G Jrue Holiday (calf) is questionable.
- F Jerami Grant (illness) is questionable.
- G Scoot Henderson (hamstring) out.
Bulls vs. Trail Blazers Pick
Spread Pick for Bulls vs. Trail Blazers
- Chicago Bulls (4 units)
The Bulls went 19-for-53 from downtown at Ball Arena in Denver last Monday. Against Utah, Chicago made 19 of its 50 shots from beyond the arc. Chicago makes 39.0% of its shots from deep this season (3rd in the NBA), and the Bulls will need another strong shooting night if they want to beat Portland.
The Trail Blazers will have to deal with fatigue. They cannot count on Scoot Henderson, while Jrue Holiday was listed as doubtful for Tuesday’s game against Phoenix due to a calf injury. The Trail Blazers are ninth in the league in 3-point rate (.445), but they make just 33.3% of their shots from deep (26th).
I like the Bulls in this spot. They are fifth in the league in defensive rebound percentage (76.5%), and the Trail Blazers love to crush the offensive glass. Moreover, the Bulls take solid care of the ball (14th in turnover percentage, 13.2%).
Over/Under Pick for Bulls vs. Trail Blazers
- Over (4 units)
These two teams love to push the ball in transition. Portland registers 102.7 possessions per 48 minutes (3rd in the NBA), and Chicago tallies 102.2 possessions per 48 minutes (8th). They will continue to rely on 3-pointers, so I can only look at the over when it comes to the total in this game.
As I noted, both teams have struggled to defend lately. The over has hit in each of Chicago’s last five games overall, and the Bulls have allowed at least 121 points in six straight outings. Six of Portland’s last seven games overall have gone over, too.
