Aaron Gordon has also been dealing with a knee injury and remains out. The 30-year-old guard is having another decent season, posting an average of 17.6 PPG on 50% shooting. Tim Hardaway Jr. has been shaky, shooting below 36% in five of his last six efforts. The veteran guard is averaging 13.9 PPG. Jonas Valaciunas has been leaned on due to the injuries. The veteran center has yielded 9.2 PPG on the year.
Denver has been a beast on the road, winning five straight games, covering in each game in that span. This includes a win against the Mavericks. Denver is averaging 119.9 points on the year, ranking them third. The Nuggets are playing sharp defensive conceding 109 or fewer points in five of their past six games, and are conceding an average of 115.7 points, placing them 16th in the NBA.
Pistons Seek Third Straight Win
The Detroit Pistons continue a homestand in this one. Detroit is having its best season in recent memory and is in a great spot in the Central Division. They are 7.5 games ahead of the Cavaliers. The Pistons lost a home clash against the Rockets on the 23rd and have dropped just one game since. The Pistons posted a victory against the Kings last week.
Detroit was on the road last week and throughout the weekend. They opened the trip with the big win against Denver. Next, they dropped a clash against the Suns on Thursday and concluded the trek with a road win against the Warriors on Saturday. Detroit returned home and issued a dominant 130-77 home win against the Nets in a bout that had the Pistons marked as 15-point favorites. Detroit connected on 56% of its shots while keeping Brooklyn to a 33% efficiency. The Pistons have covered the spread in three of their past five games.
Cade Cunningham continues to thrive. The 24-year-old point guard has been dishing with success, leading the NBA in assists. Cunningham scored 18 points on Sunday and is sporting an average of 25.2 PPG. He scored 22 in the win against Denver last week. Jalen Duran has been steady, amassing at least 21 points in three straight games. The 22-year-old center has netted an average of 18 PPG and 10.7 RPG.

Nuggets vs. Pistons Pick
Spread Pick for Nuggets vs. Pistons
- Detroit Pistons -6 (5 units)
The Denver Nuggets have been inconsistent in the past few weeks, as seen in their 5-4 record in their past nine games. They continue to play without Aaron Gordon, who is averaging 17.7 PPG. The Detroit Pistons continue to prove they are one of the best teams in the NBA. They have won 11 of their past 15 games, including a road win against Denver last week.
Furthermore, Denver has been kept in check in the offensive end, which is not surprising considering the injuries. They have scored 111 or fewer points in five of their past six games. This is great news for the Pistons, who continue to contain the opposition. Denver leans on its accurate shooting from beyond the arc, but will have difficulties against a Pistons defense that ranks sixth against threes.
Over/Under Pick for Nuggets vs. Pistons
- Over 224.5 (5 units)
I expect this one to go over. This is a lower number due to the injuries on Denver and Detroit's defense, but I expect scoring. The over cashed in the meeting against these combatants last week. Denver now has Jokic back. This Denver squad leads the NBA in three-point shooting % and points per 100 possessions.
In addition, Detroit has averaged 121 points in its past five games, above its season average. They have scored 139 and 130 points in their past two home games. While Detroit doesn’t take a ton of threes, they rank 12th in the NBA in pace factor.
