The Bulls are two-point spread favorites, and the game total is 248.5 points scored.

Chicago won three of its four games against Miami last season. The teams have split their last ten matchups (Bulls were 6-4 ATS), and the over/under was split 5-5. If you want the Heat vs. Bulls prediction, read on to get our top NBA predictions and increase your bankroll!

Heat are a top-ten defensive team

Miami (9-6 SU, 10-5 ATS, and 9-6 O/U) defeated Golden State 110-96 on Wednesday. The Heat are 6-4 both straight-up and against the spread in their last ten games (the over was 6-4).

Miami held the Warriors to 36 percent shooting in its last game, including 13-for-49 (27%) from long range. The Heat also forced 23 turnovers that they turned into 34 points. They were led in scoring by Norman Powell (25 points), and Bam Adebayo added 20 points and seven rebounds.

Miami ranks 16th in NET rating, including 20th in offensive efficiency rating and 7th in defensive efficiency rating, per Dunks and Threes. Powell leads the team in scoring this season, averaging 25.4 points with 4.0 rebounds per game. A few other players to watch against the Bulls are Adebayo (19.9 PPG and 8.0 RPG), Jaime Jaquez Jr. (16.8 PPG, 6.7 RPG, and 5.3 APG), and Kel'el Ware (10.9 PPG and 10.0 RPG).

The Heat went 37-45 last season, finishing tenth in the Eastern Conference. It was the team's first sub-.500 performance since 2018-19, but that didn't stop Miami from making the playoffs, as they won eight of their last 12 games to secure a spot in the Play-In Tournament. They took a step further, too, becoming the first ten-seed to advance with consecutive road wins over Chicago and Atlanta. Will they find a way to make a deeper run this season? Miami doesn't have an elite roster, but with Powell, Adebayo, Tyler Herro, and Wiggins, they have veteran experience, while Ware, Jaquez Jr., and Davion Mitchell bring youthful upside.

Miami Heat Basketball Injury Report:

  • F Andrew Wiggins (16.7 PPG and 4.9 RPG) is out with a hip injury.
  • Nikola Jovic (8.8 PPG and 4.4 RPG) is out with a hip injury.

Bulls are looking to make a move up the East standings

Chicago (8-6 SU, 8-5-1 ATS, and 9-5 O/U) beat Portland 122-121 on Wednesday. The Bulls are 4-6 straight-up and 4-5-1 against the spread in their last ten games (the over was 7-3).

Nikola Vučević hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to give Chicago a road win over the Blazers, who nearly pulled off a big comeback. The Bulls led by as many as 21 points, as they were red-hot from beyond the arc (21-for-49), but the home team kept within striking distance with a dominant performance on the glass (26 offensive rebounds).

Chicago ranks 17th in NET rating, including 14th in offensive efficiency rating and 19th in defensive efficiency rating, per Dunks and Threes. Josh Giddey paces the team in scoring, averaging 20.8 points with 9.8 rebounds and 9.7 assists per game. A few other Bulls to watch on Friday against the Heat are Coby White (26.0 PPG and 7.5 APG in two games), Vučević (16.6 PPG and 9.9 RPG), and Ayo Dosunmu (15.6 PPG).

Chicago is one of the youngest teams in the NBA, as its core group is all 25 years or younger. The up-and-comers will look to improve on last season's 39-43 regular-season record and Play-In Tournament berth, building off their strong finish down the stretch (won 15 of their final 20 games). After trading away veteran guard Zach LaVine mid-season, the Bulls embraced White, Giddey, and Matas Buzelis as their new headliners. They aren't the only significant pieces to the puzzle, though. Vučević (18.5 PPG), Kevin Huerter (13.2 PPG), and Dosunmu (12.3 PPG) are back, along with Tre Jones, who averaged 11.5 PPG and 4.9 APG after he was acquired from San Antonio last season. With the 12th overall pick, Noa Essengue joining that group, Chicago has a quality roster capable of making noise in the Eastern Conference.

Chicago Bulls Basketball Injury Report:

  • Coby White (rest) is questionable to play on Friday, as Chicago is easing him back into the rotation after he started the season on the IL with a calf strain.
  • C Jalen Smith (9.9 PPG) is probable to play (chest).
  • Tre Jones (13.3 PPG and 5.5 APG) is questionable (ankle).
  • F Zach Collins, who hasn't played this season, is questionable (wrist surgery).

Heat vs. Bulls Pick and Preview

Moneyline Pick for Heat vs. Bulls

  • Miami ML (4 Units)

I like the value of a bet on Miami to win straight-up. The Heat can knock down the three-ball (38.4% 3PT%) and take good care of the basketball (7th in turnover percentage). They have stoppers on the defensive end, too, ranking 2nd in opponent eFG%, 1st in mid-range defense, and 2nd in three-point defense. I'm also concerned that the Bulls won't get enough trips to the free-throw line to make up for it in this game, as the visitors don't commit many fouls (6th in opponent free-throw attempt rate) and Chicago struggles to get to the charity stripe (25th in FT attempt rate) as it is.

With this being the first game of a back-to-back for the Bulls, White may rest. If that's the case, I like the visitors' side on Friday.

Over/Under Pick for Heat vs. Bulls

  • Over 248.5 (4 Units)

This is a high total, but it's to be expected given the matchup, as Miami leads the NBA in pace and Chicago ranks third. Both teams are top five in average offensive possession length and three-point percentage, so bettors should anticipate a lot of threes falling through the net early in the shot clock. They both share the rock, too, ranking second and third in assists per game. White's absence wouldn't stop the Bulls' flow, either. While an elite scoring threat, he has only suited up for two games this season, and with Giddey leading the break, Chicago will score plenty of points.

The over is 5-1 in Chicago's last six games and 4-2 in Miami's last six. That's the side I recommend betting on in Friday's game!
