The 2025-26 NBA betting action continues Thursday, November 13, with a small three-game card, and in this preview, we are breaking down the cross-conference showdown from Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, AZ, to get you the Pacers vs. Suns prediction.
Indiana meets Phoenix for the first time this season, and the Pacers aim for their fourth straight victory over the Suns. Last season, the Pacers swept their two-game set against the Suns, beating Phoenix 126-108 at home and 120-111 on the road.
Let’s take a look at this Pacers vs. Suns prediction, one of our NBA picks for Thursday night. The tip-off at Mortgage Matchup Center is set at 9:00 PM ET. Wednesday’s games have been excluded from the analysis, and the Suns visited the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night.

The Pacers are free-falling
The injury-depleted Indiana Pacers have only won one of their first 11 games in 2025-26. They are on a five-game losing streak, and during that stretch, the Pacers have covered the spread just once.
Indiana is coming off an embarrassing 152-128 defeat at the Utah Jazz. The Pacers couldn’t stop anything while shooting 46.5% from the field (10-for-37 from deep). Pascal Siakam led the way with 27 points and five rebounds, while Andrew Nembhard had 25 points and seven assists.
The Pacers cannot count on six players, including Tyrese Haliburton, who’s recovering from an Achilles tendon injury and will probably miss the entire season. At least, T.J. McConnell made his season debut last Tuesday, scoring 12 points off the bench in just 11 minutes.
Indiana scores just 105.3 points per 100 possessions (29th in the NBA) and allows 117.1 points in return (23rd). The Pacers are dead last in the league in 2-point percentage (47.5%) and rank 29th in 3-point percentage (29.6%).
The Suns are heating up
The Phoenix Suns have won five of their previous six games overall. After beating the LA Clippers twice, 115-102 and 114-103, and the New Orleans Pelicans 121-98, the Suns were looking for their fourth straight victory on Wednesday night, when they took on the Dallas Mavericks.
Last Monday, the Suns cruised past the Pelicans at Mortgage Matchup Center. Phoenix held New Orleans to 41.0% shooting from the field and forced 20 turnovers. The Suns made 50.0% of their field goals (19-for-43 from deep), and Grayson Allen went off for a career-high 42 points while setting a franchise record with 10 3-pointers.
Phoenix scores 117.2 points per 100 possessions (14th in the NBA) and yields 115.4 points in return (16th). The Suns make 38.5% of their shots from beyond the arc (tied for 6th) while posting the fourth-highest 3-point rate in the league (.480).
Jalen Green (15.5 PPG) aggravated his hamstring injury over the weekend after just two appearances in the Suns uniform. He’ll miss at least four weeks.
Pacers vs. Suns Pick
Spread Pick for Pacers vs. Suns
- Phoenix Suns -4.5 (4 units)
Indiana’s defense fell apart in Salt Lake City after holding its rivals to 117 or fewer points in four straight games. I got burned on the Pacers, and there’s no way I’m going to back them anytime soon. The Pacers’ offense looks awful, and Tyrese Haliburton’s absence is obviously a massive blow for the reigning NBA vice-champions.
The Suns have done a great job over the past two weeks. They will have to deal with fatigue in this game, but I can only look at the Suns, given the way the Pacers have been performing so far this season. Phoenix is 6-1 SU and 7-0 ATS in its last seven home contests.
Over/Under Pick for Pacers vs. Suns
- Under 233 (4 units)
The Pacers record 102.0 possessions per 48 minutes (tied for 6th in the NBA), whereas the Suns register 98.7 possessions per 48 minutes (tied for 25th). On the second night of a back-to-back, I expect the Suns to slow things down, so give me the under.
The Suns lean on 3-pointers a lot, but the Pacers’ shooting has been horrendous this season. Indiana should show some pride after that ugly defensive display against Utah, and Phoenix will continue to work hard on the defensive side of the ball.
The Suns allow 12.4 triples per game (tied for 9th) on a 35.1 percentage clip (tied for 11th). The Pacers’ defense is fifth in the league in 3-point percentage (33.3%).
