Indiana Pacers (1-9) vs. Utah Jazz (3-6)

The 2025-26 NBA season goes on Tuesday, November 11, with six games around the Association, and in this preview, we are breaking down the cross-conference clash from Delta Center in Salt Lake City, UT, to get you the Pacers vs. Jazz prediction.

Indiana and Utah open their two-game regular-season set. Last season, the Pacers swept the Jazz, beating Utah 112-111 at Delta Center and 140-112 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Read more about this Pacers vs. Jazz prediction, and check out all our NBA picks for Tuesday’s slate. The tip-off at Delta Center is set at 9:00 PM ET. Monday’s results have been excluded from the analysis, and the Jazz hosted the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night.

The Pacers hope to snap their four-game skid

The Indiana Pacers are off to a horrible start to the season. The reigning NBA vice-champions have only won one of their first 10 contests while going 5-5 against the spread. Indiana is winless in four straight outings, and the Pacers have only covered once during that stretch.

The Pacers are coming off Sunday’s 114-83 defeat at the Golden State Warriors. Indiana committed 22 turnovers while making just 34.0% of its field goals (11-for-39 from deep). Andrew Nembhard led the way with 14 points and nine assists, while Jay Huff had 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Pascal Siakam got a day off on Sunday, and he should be back in the lineup when the Pacers take on the Jazz. Indiana cannot count on six players, including Tyrese Haliburton, Obi Toppin, T.J. McConnell, and Quenton Jackson. Bennedict Mathurin is doubtful for Tuesday’s game against Utah.

The Pacers’ offense has been terrible thus far. Indiana scores just 103.4 points per 100 possessions (30th in the NBA) on 46.4% shooting from inside the arc (also 30th) and 29.8% from downtown (also 30th).

The Jazz are off to another slow start

The Utah Jazz were looking to snap a two-game skid on Monday night, when the Timberwolves came to Delta Center. Last Friday, the Jazz visited the Timberwolves and suffered a heavy 137-97 defeat. Utah made just 37.2% of its field goals (9-for-39 from deep) while playing awful defense.

Walker Kessler is done for the season with a shoulder injury. Georges Niang is sidelined with a foot injury, while Kyle Anderson was questionable for Monday’s clash against Minnesota. Jusuf Nurkic replaced Kessler in the starting lineup, and he’s tallying 6.9 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.

The Jazz score 111.0 points per 100 possessions (26th in the NBA) on 52.7% shooting from inside the arc (23rd) and 30.5% from beyond the 3-point line (28th). They allow 118.9 points in return (24th). Utah’s defense is 27th in the league in 2-point percentage (57.6%) and 20th in 3-point percentage (36.2%).

Lauri Markkanen leads the way for the Jazz with 28.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Keyonte George tallies 22.1 points and 7.2 assists per contest, and Svi Mykhailuk adds 9.1 points a night.

Pacers vs. Jazz Pick

Spread Pick for Pacers vs. Jazz

  • Indiana Pacers (4 units)

The Pacers should be able to keep it close against the Jazz, who will have to deal with fatigue on the second night of a back-to-back. Indiana is arguably a better defensive team than Utah, and the Pacers will be desperate to get things going offensively in this matchup.

Interestingly, the Pacers are second in the league in opposing 3-point percentage (32.0%). They allow just 11.1 3-pointers per 100 possessions (3rd). Pascal Siakam will be all over Lauri Markkanen, and the Pacers will lean on their defense to get things done.

Keeping the Jazz off the glass will be another important factor. Indiana is sixth in the league in defensive rebound percentage (76.7%).

Over/Under Pick for Pacers vs. Jazz

  • Under (4 units)

Eight of Indiana’s last nine games have gone under the total. The under has hit in each of the Pacers’ last five outings, and I would ride this betting trend.

Indiana doesn’t play at a slow pace, but the Pacers’ offensive execution has been horrendous thus far. As I noted, the Pacers lean on their defense, and slowing Utah’s 3-point shooting will be key in this game.

Utah ranks 12th in the NBA in 3-point rate (.435) and 28th in 3-point percentage (30.5%). The Jazz record 99.9 possessions per 48 minutes (21st), while the Pacers register 102.0 possessions per 48 minutes (tied for 7th).
